  1. Well, I have had a profile on True for a while. Yea, pretty ghey, but hey, whatever... Lately, I've had the chance to actually get some use out of it (put me in contact with a good lookin gal). Well, she got my second email through them, before I killed the trial so I could get my 60 bucks back. So far, she didn't read my first email. It had my actual email address in it so she could contact me away from True, and avoid stupid membership bull$#!&. also, I have True's bull$#!& set to dump into the good old spam folder. Well, I put as my headline "check your email" within 5 mins, true killed my headline. so i ranted in my profile about how $#!&ty and rip off they are. less than 5 mins, thats gone. did it again, and they remove it again. did it like 6 more times and they kept removing it. Right now, I have a cool double meaning thing in my profile that totally makes true look like its employing a bunch of jack offs (which they do) and they have yet to remove it. It's been up for about 2hrs steady now, totally ripping on them. it's other meaning is pretty cool too, because it should make alot of people realize just how much money they are loosing by staying with true. Oh, and I'm still waiting for the girl to look in the first email to get a hold of me, so I winked at her twice. On another note, if you want a dating site profile, do that plentyoffish.com one. I checked it out, and theres a bunch of good lookin ones on there, not to mention, they don't ask for a friggin stick of gum for using any part of their service. they dude who started it, and runs it makes over 150k a month in google ad revenue. Now you all probably think I'm stupid or something. to put it straight, I'm friggin lazy, the jeeps occupy my life, and so does online forums... I think I'm going to go grab a few drinks now...

    I'm 7/28... funny.
  3. needs a little more beef to it, but its definitely a great starting point.
  4. i like the idea. Pete, where are you on this? Oh, and check the classifieds...
  5. Pete, your little laugh there is pretty ghey... :D
  6. Good point. I'm waiting to hear if anyone else received anything yet...

    Lucky Se7ens.
  8. Dakotas don't use a 5 on 4-1/2" lug bolt battern, though. Not a good choice. Well, wouldn't you still use the stock shafts if at all possible? Also, I am willing to bet that you could do the caliper bracket, and caliper, and then do so research and find rotors that would be the correct fitment.
  9. I did see it once, at the 4wd Jeepfest back in like 04 or 05. It was done, but I doubt that engine still runs today, unless it has been really babied. My guess is something that massively bored out would suffer from cracks caused by the high heat in the block, and the cracks would form between the cylinders. That would be engine failure at it's finest.
  10. Wouldn't be in need of a spare rim of that style, would ya? I have one "floating" around.
  11. Find a diesel one, even better mileage.
  12. AFAIK, yes, but all are the 5x5 bolt pattern. A guy could try using crown vic brake parts. They're easy to get and seem to bolt up to random things most of the time... I have a ton of crown vic's to my avail. I think my buddy has some parts laying around too.
  13. I think Golen does them up to a 4.7 Stroker. Beyond 4.7, I think its all custom machine work at a machine shop. I believe you can top the 4.0 out at about 5.0 MAYBE 5.1, but IMHO, a 4.7 is probably pushing it to it's limits.
  14. That post was deleted 3 seconds after I posted it, because I realized that.... You clicked on this page too quick...
  15. Good idea.Toss a nice Cummins 5.9 under the hood and its near tow rig status! Beef the frame up then, and upgrade the axles. Oh, and work the firewall to conform to fit that beastily engine.
  16. Truck with a cummins, or a cummins for the jeep?
  17. Is there any 8.25's out there with discs on them to upgrade in the future? I'd like to go with discs, but drums will do the job for a while...
  18. I'm swapping to an 8.25 out of a 98 XJ. I just need to find out more about the leaf perches width and location differences between an XJ and MJ.
  19. You could always make the space useful, and make it a panel that flips down to access a storage box or something.
  20. yea, if it costs an arm and a leg it won't be happening... Well, the only one that I found out is for fact a diesel is missing everything except the block, which has a crack coming up from where the oil pan would seat, about 2 inches. Beyond that, I found out the other 2 XJs were plain old gas ones, so no luck. I can get you the info for the other JY, and then you could see what he has, and for how much. I know hes a fool most of the time though, so I don't know what your chances would be...
  21. Close Ugly My view would be to make it a full out crew cab MJ, using the XJ's rear doors and seat. It's what I want to do with the next MJ.
  22. We haven't really discussed Clayton's too much. Probably only 15 guys on here are running longarms, and the only one I know of on Clayton's is $500 MJ. He could have just skimmed through. Although, being he's the admin of the local club, using the same forum software, I would bet he would use the search feature.
  23. I could bug you about that search feature at the top of the page.... But I'll let you figure out how to use that one :D
  24. Hey Jared, welcome to Comanche Club. Here's $500 MJ's MJ with a Clayton's kit up front. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... n+claytons He is having fitment issues, apparently. Hopefully, it offers some insight for the question.
