I will be using part of one when I extend my cab to fit 2dr XJ doors. I might wind up piecing 2 MJ ones together if it won't work. Fiberglass will be my friend either way.

It's all about proper fender cutting bumpstopping rim/ tire choice and proper shock set-up. This is a picture of a fully stuffed 33"x10.5"-15" on a 15"x7" rim with 4" of backspacing. It has 3.5" of lift with 2" bumpstops and 9.5" travel shocks. It can steer from lock to lock without any rubbing. It still looks good with the gap filled. It also uses a modified stock fender liner. If you need more room it can be done. This is the same tire combo with 6" of lift. With 3" of lift and fenders cut like this 33"x12.5" tires won't come close to rubbing. They would probably clear with no lift and stock shocks. The flares are raised about 5" and the fenders have a ton of steel removed. Image Not Found and still have no gaps... Image Not Found Image Not Found My goal is to stuff a Q78-15" tire(35.5") with 12" travel shocks and 3.5" of bumpstop without rubbing. If it clears at this of lift it would also clear with 4.5"... It will have 65" wide axles and about 7.5" of lift spring over. The rims will be 15"x7.5" with 4" of backspacing. As you can see there is a ton of room. I will also be adding a full inner fender liner. Image Not Found

Its all about fab work. They are not bolt in seats. Custom frames must be fabed.

Somebody needs to do this to a real flying squirrel. It would probably come back to do it again.
-
Yes it does. It also has a cupholder that pulls out of the front lower part of the center sections lower seat cushion.

Pat it's a Torx set... not torque set.....

thats a nice deal you got there. Any idea on how well the buckets will fit? They will fit great. I'm extending my cab so it uses doors from a 2dr XJ so it will be 9" longer then stock. They have a nice thin back and would fit nice it a stock cab too.

I was thinking the same thing. That cam would rock. I used to have a KluneV with an Atlas II combo and a big cam with a 2500rpm stall converter would be perfect in compound low. :brows: The anti squat that rear suspension has would be horrible thou.

I would make a ramp of sorts to allow a rock to slide under the mounting brackets instead of getting hung up on them. They are tucked in nice. :D I like to pivot so these aren't for me, but I'm sure my wife would like yours better then mine. She hated the one I had on my XJ because they stuck out too far according to her.... Mine will stick out a couple of inches more, but will have better ground clearance because the bottom of mine will be where the top of the pinch rail is. I'm removing my pinch rails completely and welding in my rock rails in as my rockers. :brows:

That would be a good laugh....Sucker....

All new means is it hasn't been used before... It doesn't mean its any good.

I bought a 40/20/40 bench from a '97 Dakota. It's 2 bucket seats with a folding armrest in the center. I'm just using the buckets with a XJ center console. The salvage yard wanted 75.00 for a pair of buckets or $25.00 for a bench. So I picked this seat for the mint buckets and could care less about the center console. I saved $50.00 on 2 buckets. It was a great deal. Image Not Found I still need to install them, but I have bigger projects that need to be done first.

Like they say "There's a sucker born every minute...."

Problem #2 the tractor threw a rod and made an air hole in the block.
-
After you get out at least you don't have to walk around it... just go under it.
-
That or climb up the back tire fall into the bed and go in the sliding rear window if it has one.
-
And a ladder to get into it....
-
Mine will be weld in ones that replace the rockers and extend to the rear wheel opening. I will also be plating the frame from the front to the rear spring mounts and doing some minor boatsiding fron the rockers to tne frame rail. This combined with a flat bottom should help me slide over rocks and such without getting hung up.

First thing to do is check your balljoints, a bad ball joint can cause this problem. If you find they are ok you can install an offset ball joint to correct the problem. Increase the side with the lower reading so it has about .3-.5 degrees more caster on the passenger side to compensate for road crown.
-
I make mine stick out further so I can use them as pivot points and to protect the body.
-
The only way to adjust cross caster is with offset ball joints or to rotate the inner C. Total caster is adjustable. but the difference side to side is set when the axle is built.

The buzzer drove me nuts so I removed it...

Looks good.
