  1. john let me know about the tires...I was wondering about the rims as well...
  2. guessin ya don't need to see the gauges :P or ever remove/add anything to the dash again?
  3. i was in awe until i saw that rocker panel...
  4. perty dark pics but I like 'em. I was low-ballin...i always do that with tires being hopeful :D are they yours and you're trying to sell or what?
  5. I wave everyone with an xj or mj. one-finger-wave to the yj or cj folks round town here cause they think the manches are a joke... what makes me sad is the other people with MJ's in my town don't care about their trucks...they don't wave, they don't take care of them or anything... :(
  6. if you didn't have a full length console before, you will also need the middle and rear mounting brackets...just get them from the JY when you get the center console.
  7. I have one, I will take a picture of it and post it tomorrow (later today). they're quite bulky and heavy, but they do the job.
  8. plan on just the gasket and rear main. when you remove the pan, examine it and decide if you can reuse it or not. Just in case, order the new pan if the place accepts returns, that way you are prepared for the worst. But I always save money that doesn't need to be spent, and if the oil pan is square, solid, and just a little crusty, I would simply clean it all up and repaint the outside of the pan and reuse it...that 56 bucks could go towards some nice fogs or a cool junkyard find...
  9. the orange "up" light is generally the Up-shift light if i'm not mistaken. and general rule of thumb, if it worked fine before you did something to it, you did something to it wrong. now, i'm not sure what it would be though...is it idling very high (more than 1100 RPM at idle...should be about 900 to 950). that may be why the upshift is coming on if it's high. other than that, i can't think why it would backfire
  10. they're worth nothing to you unless you have some 16" rims or can get them. Idk, I'd say $300 bucks if you can get the guy down to them.
  11. take a shortbed skid plate and lengthen it out. they're pretty darn tough and pretty cool. they cover from front to back, not sides. but it would be easy to add to the sides.
  12. i hate you 87 manche. i hate you. kidding...but seriously...
  13. that'd be simple but you probably need the sensor system as well. i'm not too sure if it's all self-contained or not.
  14. did ya get them thar stickers sent?
  15. I'd say wanna bet...but i'm broke. these rims are 8" wide jeep rims. the rear end is a stock factory dana 44, and it's an 86.
  16. definitely go with the hoop. but it looks wierd with the bumper ends because they don't fit into the front...maybe make a piece of sheet metal to fit there and make it look better? that's my only beef lol...
  17. nice. it's basic knowledge that a dry surface is typically better when installing something that should be sealed. ya should be ok but....keep an eye on it
  18. some people don't have tailgates anymore...
  19. ...actually you should make sure the fluid is somewhat drained before you pull the temp. sending unit...and now's about the time for an oil change too. you need dry surfaces to seal them up good.
  20. you shouldn't. i don't really know anything about inspections...we just have emissions and i've never had to have a vehicle inspected. it'll pass emissions without it provided everything mechanical is good.
  21. Pete's right. and colton's right. really, it isn't our decision what is allowed on this forum, we have the privelage of using it because Pete created it. and no politician is particularly stupid nor are their fans idiots...there is a right and a wrong candidate, simple as that. thanks Pete
  22. eagle, the clips are hard to find on the 3 pane one. the 4 pane one has them screwed onto the metal frame....so really any 4 pane clip could be made to work. we're in the same boat on the clips...well, i had 2 but somehow lost one. at least i have a good one left for my slider :D
  23. there's a little clear gear box thingy somewhere under your dash...that's for the emissions light, and at a certain mileage it does come on. just yank it and scrap it. i'll take a pic of the one we took outta my bro's for you today
  24. phillips would denote the child proof one but there's no straight one, it's hex heads on the faceplate of the other one.
  25. it's owned by diamler chrysler still. it's just a japanese export though.
