Just don't see the point. My old ones will line up fine once I shave the front corners and then I don't have to worry about the rear flares not matching the fronts. Guess its just kinda my way of being different. ;)

ok thanks for the correction guys. I thought all the fullsize waggys were passenger drop.

A waggy front will be a passenger side drop diff. You need a drivers drop unless your swapping the tcase also.

Ok so I have been looking at this XJ in the junkyard and can't figure it out. I thought this was a hydroboost setup for the brakes, but after talking to some people it might just be the antilock. I am puzzled and hoped I could get some answers. The piece just to the left of the master cylinder in the picture.... Also there is what appears to be an electric over hydraulic pump located on the passenger fenderwell. (center of pic) there are lines running from this to the item in the above picture.... Any input would be appreciated. :cheers:

Fedex payed me a visit yesterday and what did I get..... First step was to backfill the corners since I am not going to swap to the 96+ fenders.... Next was tear down the old clip... Then it was time for a test fit.... And then the final product after trimming the front fenders minus the sidemarker lights. Gotta get some more screw inserts so I can install them. All in all it was pretty straight forward pull the old off put the new on. I did fab some brackets to attach the fenders to the new header panel as it mounts differently than the old but other than that it was really simple.

I am getting ready to do the same swap. Any input on the NSS issue?

Picked up the axles trans and tcase today. Have a few questions. Do I already have wiring in my truck for NSS, TCU, 4wd indicator, and vaccum lines for the Tcase or do I need to run all this stuff? Will my current crossmember work with the auto 4x4 or do I need to pick up a new one? My D30 came without the CAD is there an easy way to shim it without the fork being in there and then just put a plate over the acess? I think this is all for now. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am gonna start swapping in axles tomorrow night. Wish me luck. :cheers:

Well I ordered my 97+ front clip from Rockauto.com Should ship out monday. I am keeping my fenders just gonnna shave the corners. i will try to document as much as I can. :cheers: Monday I should be picking up my D30/D44 matched set out of an MJ also I might be getting the AW4 and 231 out of the same truck.

There is a really simple fix for getting shocked while stick welding. DON'T GRAB THE ROD!!!!!! :D :D :D

I had a black one that was kinda trashy. It was only the 4cyl but was pretty quick. Its amazing the difference a well balanced power to weight ratio can make.

Part of it could be that bungee cord assisted steering you have going on..... :D
