  1. I don't really have a dream job. I do have a dream though. I wanna be a mountain hermit. So I guess my dream job is what I have now. I am 3rd generation owner of the family furniture store. I plan to work my butt off for the next 20yrs growing the biz and hopefully sell it off to my daughter so I can retire at an early age to the appalachians and spend my days living completely of the land with my CJ, MJ, my chainsaws, a good axe and my wood stove.
  2. I too have 97+ door seals I robbed from a wrecked one at the JY and I have the same comments as everyone. Doors close harder than before but not abnormally hard. Its like my truck is a much newer and the door seals actually work kinda hard. You will not regret the upgrade. Especially since most junkyards don't consider weatherstriping a valuable part.
  3. a couple of people around here have done it, and their posts helped a lot. Even then i still made a bunch of mistakes along the way...i thought i bought door wiring from a '96XJ from a member on here that isn't around anymore. Turns out everything was from an '89XJ (totally different connectors) and one of the regulators wasn't good. Lessons learned: get an FSM before tacking big projects and use as much wiring from the same year as your MJ as you can. I also carried a small project battery to the jy so i could test the window regulators before i pulled them. Also helped to be able to move up and down while pulling the wiring and regulators. And i've been lucky so far, the only electrical gremlin to pop up was a bad alarm the PO installed, it would go off randomly and drain the battery. Do you still have the 89 wiring harness? I am in need of a pre 91 harness (I think thats when the connectors changed) I have a post 91 harness I would be willing to trade. Just for clarification I need the harness that goes from door to door.
  4. I love to cut firewood I love the appalachian mountains (Gonna be a hermit when I retire) I am 3rd generation owner of the family furniture store I got married at 19 (almost made it 10 yrs before the pending divorce) If it has a motor I love it
  5. Whats the color selection for the Hoodies?
  6. That would be cool, but you would be talking about and expensive hoodie to do that unless you were to make a large quantity of them like 100 or more. Probably run near $30... :ack: We are trying to keep whatever we make at or below the $20 mark for sweats & long sleeve. The short sleeve stuff we would like to keep them under $15. Yeah but it would be cool. :smart:
  7. That's what I was thinking, but you know...the tan logo would probably still look good on the black too... I like the way you think. Would be something a little different. What about doing a big comancheclub.com up the left sleeve so you can pimp it out the window while you roll in your fly ride.
  8. Depending on price I am definatley game for at least one of each. Hoodies could even be something simple like a black hoodie with white letters...
  9. Please excuse me while I go clean up. when do we get to order?
  10. I don't care just make some shirts.
  11. Well not much getting done here got some new tires but haven't got pics of it with them on yet. Ran it up the RTI ramp at O'Daniels Jeep jam did pretty good for a 2wd stocker. :brows:
  12. Glad to see I am not the only one left who isn't sitting on my shoulders.
  13. Why not just fix the problem? Everyone complains that their junk has all these issues but nobody wants to step up and fix them properly. Rant over thanks. I am with Brent on this one. It is the ignition switch.
  14. Had a great time. Thanks to motion for the use of the RTI ramp. my little stock 2wd scored a 395 on the ramp.

  17. I don't think JB weld alone will do it. Shove some duct tape into it before it cures to add lateral strength and you should be good.
  18. Looks good. Wanna sell that tonneau cover? :brows:
  19. According to my haynes manual that is the proper proceedure to reset the valve. Stop the SH@T out of the pedal without the motor running(ie:not vacuum assist)
  20. Gutting the cat will not make is smell like sulfer (rotten eggs). The sulfer smell comes from a clogged cat. Or one that is burned up.
