Fitting Headlight Stone Guards
ComancheKid45 replied to summerinmaine's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I don't have a pic at ths time but what your assuming is correct...theres a bit of pressure needed to make those clips fit with the ring, the clips will break without much bending force so don't try and bend them much at all....in the end though it all looks the same and your headlight aim is not effected if thats what your concern is -

*EDIT* a small history story What I began with in Fall 2003, This truck was traded in to my families former Dealership for $400 where my Dad agreed to give me this as my 1st vehicle (I wanted a Jeep truck) if i would help work on it and make it road worthy again. It was pretty rusty and needed some minor suspension work but it was easly savable. I do not have any pictures of it back then but it was a generic light blue Sportruck, only 125k but very tired 4.0L AW4/D30/D35. With some paint and work this is what i started with in Spring 2004. I got my license in September 2004 and it all began... here's a pic or 2 of the transistion period I missed before i began this build thread. Finally got some new pics of the Truck and finally have reached a point where I'm done throwin stuff on it for alittle while, so what better time than now to show it off. Its not the prettiest thing on the Road but I'm more than proud of it:thumbsup: Most Recent mods over the past month have been Motion Offroad Budget Boost New Tailgate/ Decal Motion Offroad fender light brackets 4" Aux lights Aftermarket H4 bulb headlights and a set of Precision Fuel Injectors Any options/critisism/suggestions welcome

That was Awesome......16 cylinders/10 Radiators, and faster than an F1 car......who thinks these things up!

Sounds good....I'm currently searching for another job since i got layed off last Friday when my parents sold their Dealership and I decided not 2 work for the new owners......Its all good, I'm young and can wing it for alittle while ;)

I think he was talking about a bull bar.....IMO they look good on the occasional Full Size truck but most of the time i don't like them....id go with a triditional Brush Guard or Push bar Image Not Found

"A" piller mounted Offroad lights...?
ComancheKid45 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm happy with them.......They are brighter than OEM and provide a clearer, whiter light unlike the yellowish cgow you get from the stockers. here's the link also FYI http://motionoffroad.com/catalog/index. ... cts_id=165 -

"A" piller mounted Offroad lights...?
ComancheKid45 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No No No....I'm just saying they like to pull me over late at night, basically its a reason to see if I'm drinking, i don't drink at all so I'm never botherd by being pulled over, They have every right to check me out (not in that way, lol)......I just want more lights for the sake that i like lights, I do have covers for my rollbar lights but due to the fact i use them almost daily i don't have them installed, the Police have never cited me for them and usually don't have a big issue with them at all. but basically the Police have nothing to do with my decision ;) -
"A" piller mounted Offroad lights...?
ComancheKid45 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I thought about that but The State Police already like pulling me over late at night for my aftermarket driving lights and my KCs (which I never use on roads), i don't think i need to draw anymore attention to them, lol -
