Not a very good picture but I was thinking about using this design. Ita Dixie chopper floor pan. I've got a bunch of rejected pieces. But it's 1/8" which I think is a little too thick. Probably try to punch it out in some 14 ga. or maybe thinner. I'm not worried about the trays on the inside of the hood. My xj that these are going on has been under water before and handled it all just fine.

I'm thinking about having some hood vents lasered out and then the "louvers", which won't really be louvers, just openings, punched out at work. But what I want everybody's opinion on is what's the best place in the hood bro put them? Like the triangle shaped ones that follow the hood supports on the inside. Or just square vents towards the front or rear? These openings won't be "directional" like a louver is. Pictures would be nice too. But I'm not looking for everyone's homebrew vents. Just positioning. Thanks

When I build the hitches, I make the plates, at the furthest most point from the receiver, 46 1/2". The frame is 46 3/8" wide. So there is just the slightest bit of a gap,1/8", so that everything slides on easy and then when bolted and tightened down, everything is snug. The factory hitch that I copied didn't have any of the spacers attached. All loose and it was a headache to put all those pieces together separately. Out of the 40+ hitches I've sold, nobody has had any complaints in this area...

Will more colors be available? And are these sized or snap backs? -
Thanks for the good review! Trying to help everybody with getting the full potential out of their Comanches and being fair about it! Sent this hitch out the same day as yours. Another satisfied customer. I've gotten a lot from the members here so these are just my tokens of appreciation to you all (even though you have to buy them, Ha) Thanks again. Any changes or questions anybody has about the hitches, I'm open to them!

The top where there is a big gap with the radius will be capped off. And I'm not sure if I'm going to have a piece across the bottom underneath or not. That would hold mud and dirt...But like I said^^they wouldn't be any worse than the factory flares. Just kinda your preference on the lesser evil, rust or dents. And depends wheeling style and weather in your area... But I will continue to mess with the end cap. It actually doesn't look as bad as it does in the pictures. Bumper options would have to be thought out though with how this style fits the body.- 197 replies

I personally agree...(I don't think I'm supposed to say that [emoji51] ) they'll fit to the bed the same as the flares do...so that should give you an idea... And I think the guys that don't worry about it just cut their beds and have a bumper protect that area. (What I would do)- 197 replies

So right now, this is how I have the rest of the quarter panel armor capped off.... There are so many angles there that this was the easiest option...not the best looking but definitely will protect.- 197 replies

Plastic as in factory flares? You could possibly put the factory back on. They'd just be sitting on top of ~1/8" armor... But putting flares on them is my plan. Probably a 3" flare.- 197 replies

I think I figured it out now I measured a bunch of points and drew them out on some galvanized flashing and cut it out and laid it up there. Hopefully good enough for them to draw up and laser out. These are moving at a decent pace now, as long as the fender flares don't give me problems. Then onto the bottom quarter armor!- 197 replies

Does anyone know if there is a print or diagram that shows measurements for the wheel wells or even the whole bed side?- 197 replies
