Pete, Me and Brandon right before they left. I had a great time and can't wait to do it again. Thank you both for coming down to hang out.

We had the pleasure of having Pete and Brandon at the house this week/weekend. If you ever wondered who the man is... Here ya go! He is as genuine in real life as he is online. He is holding my grand daughter and Brandon's son. It was a great time and can't wait to get together with them again.

Thanks again for getting Betty's for me and Brandon

I am a lucky man. My friends are family and I cherish every one of them.

Once my Marine Retired license plate comes in I'll be set.

Thank you. It photos well but it is pretty rough.

Brandon has done it again! He has built me something I have wanted for a long time. He made a trip down to see us and brought me a the only Scar Fab front bumper he has built. I love it.

Oceanside. I'll be at the ball game June 2nd.

It's gonna be hot this weekend. I think I'll just sit around and drink with Krustyballer!

I had to cut a lot of the floor out to get the body as low as I wanted it. Being all wheel drive I can't get too extreme with the axle angles up front. It was a better plan to cut the body to fit.

I will get back to working on it hopefully the next day of so. Then I go on a business trip to California for 3 weeks. I want to at least get the cab firmly mounted and the floor built.

It's a running machine. It has a pretty nasty cam in it. That plays hell with the fuel injection but it sounds oh so good!

Are we just going to ignore the hidden winch? -
86 Diesel MJ to VW TDI conversion

That's simply amazing. I know when I drove around to load it on the trailer it had a ton of low end grunt and didn't take much throttle to make it move. I'm damn impressed with the truck. I'd love to own that one some day. -
anything else I should be stripping off a 96 XJ?

It's a toss up. Could be either -
Snapped engine mount bolts
shelbyluvv replied to IronManche87's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'd grind a slot in them with a dremel then use a stubby screwdriver to turn them out. They should back right out. I'd also heat them up a little and spray with some good penetrating oil before hand. -

Post a marketplace add for free scrap XJ. I had a guy here in less than a hour to get my Explorer and XJ donors. -
I just watched that today. I want a Host Mammoth or a Lance 1172. The mammoth may be a touch too heavy.

Here is a little performance tech for you. Do not waste money buying a aftermarket exhaust. Get a V8 tailpipe and a Flowmaster for a nice upgrade.

Shizzzz, 4.0 Limited, convert that fan to mechanical all day!

Before you pull the dash check this out. https://heatertreater.net/jeep-grand-cherokee-98-04 You don't have to pull it. If you have a V8 putting a mechanical fan on will be tough. The fan is driven with power steering fluid and it is all tied into the same system. It is best to replace the relay. If you are really worried about it failing again, put a toggle switch on it as a fail safe. The stock fan setup is very good and works great. I wouldn't mess with it.

Relay most likely. It is under the passenger side headlight. You can pull the entire front wrap or cut the plastic under the headlight. I suggest cutting the plastic under the headlight. It is a lot easier to do and once the headlight is back in you can't see the cut. This is actually what the dealer would do. You may get lucky and have the hole already cut. It is a common failure. Blend doors for the dual climate control are another very common failure.

So jealous! I'm putting a lift in my pole barn next year -
I had a 04 and it was a great Jeep. Keep the oil changed and do not over heat it and I'll last a long time. I wanted the color but it wasn't on the lot when I bought it. Beautiful Jeep!
