  1. What can I say about Adam that hasn't already been said? This board is truly a better place with you on it Adam. I have never met you in person but I consider you a friend. You have been there with parts and knowledge when I needed them. You have even sent parts without wanting any money in return. Adam thank you for everything you have done for me and the members of CC. I look forward to meeting you and shaking your hand!
  2. I used white Krylon Fusion on my Ram's fender flares. I have put 10k miles on it and been through a lot of automated car washes. I have a few stone chips on the insides but other than that it is holding on very well. I'd have no issues using it for interior parts.
  3. The pump could have lost it's prime. You can also spilt it, pack it with Vaseline and see if it will build pressure that way. The Vaseline will break down in your oil.
  4. My WJ had CV shafts and I broke both sides twice on 32s. Go with the spicer joints and be done with it. CVs are weak and not worth the effort to swap them.
  5. I think it need another flap under the bottom where you grab it. It will be sharp as hell the way it is now.
  6. They changed the oil pump drive assembly on the 04+ 4.0s. They are known for failing and taking out the bottom end of the engine.
  7. I never realized they took the Comanche badges off the Chiefs. Makes sense though.
  8. I'll take a pair Adam.
  9. I'd bite if the price and fit were right.
  10. The picture was to show what a Stull grill looks like. The bumper is a stock one painted body color. That is also clearly not a Street MJ. The CHEROKEE across the windshield gave it away.
  11. The only real fix is replacing them. He could try to run some Marvel Mystery Oil through it and see if that helps.
  12. I was not aware of this, does that mean the grille I do not want on my heep is actually worth something? Sorry, for any OT. Your grill could be a JCW part or a factory part. It's value is what someone is willing to pay for it. With the mini truck trend going away, it is worth nothing unless you can prove it was a factory Street MJ grill. Then your market is limited still.
  13. That looks like a ton of work but it is coming along nicely!
  14. You do know that the horizontal grill was a Street MJ factory part, right?
  15. 4 or 6 cylinder engine? EDIT: I think I read you have a 2.5 in it. If you are in Macon GA like your location says I can help you out. I did read in another post you were in California. If you are in GA and can get the truck to me and leave it for a few days, weeks or a month, I can look at it and get it running. I will not charge much to fix it and you will pay me for all parts I replace to get it running.
  16. 1990 was RENIX still. 1991 was the first year for OBD-I.
  17. It is stainless steel. I have done it and it doesn't hurt them at all. A steamer is not going to remove the glue they used on the moldings. I tried everything from steam, heat, brake fluid, paint thinner, goof off and goo gone. The only thing that worked was the aircraft stripper. It still took about 8 applications to get all the black plastic and glue off.
  18. Run stock uncut front flares. You can make a little tab to hold the over hang from the missing fender. I did it with 97+ fenders and a old style bumper. It is easy on the 97+ fenders because they have a lip the caps mount to. It should not be to big of a deal for you to bend up a piece of strapping to hold the flare.
  19. One would take off the door panel then remove everything in the door except the door latch. There are no special tools required to do this. You should also order new window wipes and felts when you do this.
  20. Pick up some Aircraft stripper spray in a can and some Goo gone. Spray with the stripper and let them sit for a hour, Peel the loose stuff off. Rinse and repeat until it is all off. Wipe them down with the Goo Gone after they are shinny. Then clean with soapy warm water. I did it to my 86. I thought I had a write up on it somewhere on here. Here is a quick few pics. Make sure you completely remove then from your doors like I did or you will have no paint left on your doors!
  21. I wonder if J.B. ever finished that truck?
  22. Don't forget if you are using a HO cluster in a RENIX the pot values are different for the oil pressure, coolant temp and the fuel gauge.
  23. I have not really dug deep into the wiring diagram for the speedo. I did not see any speedometer input into the ECU when I was wiring my V8 in though. I did directly wire the drive gear to the dash harness and spun it up in a drill to verify it was working. I think you could wire one in pretty easily.
  24. Nah. That's OBD2. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
  25. I started backing mine in the driveway to keep people from seeing the JEEP on the tailgate. All they see when they drive by is a late model XJ front nose. I've had a few guys try to buy it in the last month since I moved. They ask how much and I say $5000. Same old song and dance. That's too much for it yada, yada, yada. I always say they same thing to them. Find and convert a 89, 2WD, Eliminator to a 97, 4X4, D44, 4.5" lifted truck for less. None of them have and very few ever will. She was called a Bronco today though? :fool: I still don't understand that one!
