  1. It comes up as an incomplete recall, so it should still be good. Go get your free O2 sensor! Awesome, mine has been shot for a few months now!
  2. sweet, thanks. Would that recall on the O2 sensor be one that was missed?
  3. I found the build sheet for my parts truck when I took the bench seat out but its falling apart and covered in mold. Might be able to piece it back together enough to see if its readable. Still haven't had any luck with my DD though, was wondering if I could get the vin checked as well, trying to figure out what the PO might have changed on the truck- 1JTML6312HT017732
  4. I'll enjoy seeing your threads, originally had plans to tow my Jeep behind an 89 Winnebago and go fulltiming but the Bago has many issues that must be fixed before that can happen. I'll be in NE for quite some time, nothing quite as interesting as where you are now but if you get this way let me know.
  5. If you are interested in used, I have the wiring harnesses that I am salvaging off of a 88 2wd parts truck that had the 2.5L and AX-4.

  7. I have a cable available from my parts truck. It was a 2wd with the 4cyl and manual transmission if that will work for you.
  8. what prompted this was seeing an s-10 conversion on youtube where all of the batteries where underneath the bed and not taking up any cargo space.
  9. Has anyone converted a Comanche to run off an electric motor and what was the results?
  10. The stalling was caused by running out of fuel. First time I had done it so did not recognize the symptoms and was used to gasping and wheezing from having carburated vehicles before.
  11. happy to report the stalling was a fuel issue and managed to get it home but if anyone has any suggestions on the mpg problem that would be great. One other symptom that may be part of it is the needle on the gauge jumps back and forth especially once it gets below half a tank. I think i've seen this before somewhere on here but could that be a fuel sending unit issue?
  12. the bad mileage has been for over two months but the lack of movement and the dying was just today. When I took off from the stop sign the truck went about a quarter of a block before the lack of acceleration and following issues with the dying. Even pushing the accelerator while in neutral would only get a slow rise to 3k on rpms.
  13. I have a 87 4wd, 6cyl, ax-15. As I was leaving work today and pulling away from a stop sign the truck did not want to accelerate. I got it to move by putting it in 4wd but had no sounds from the tranny prior to the issue. It would idle fine as i was parked but when I released the clutch the truck would die- not fun since I was in traffic with no flashers and on a steep hill. Fuel level is low but don't think this is the cause of the problem. I managed to get a tow into a nearby gas station where it is currently sitting and as soon as the secondary vehicle gets home will try and go back to troubleshoot. Once I got the truck on level ground I was unable to do any other troubleshooting as the battery was too low by then. The last couple of months its been idling normally but the fuel mileage has dropped to around 6mpg. Theres been no changes to the truck other than a different set of tires on the front that are the same size but they werent balanced after i put them on the hubs. IMHO when I take my foot off the gas the truck seems to slow down more- something like an engine braking effect that shouldnt be there. Will be happy for any advice.
  14. damn bunch of kids. lol 39 a few months ago

  17. wow, poor truck. lol. thats about an hour away from me but I won't waste the gas to go look.
  18. Recieved my drivers license two years after my manche was built. The sticker is gone so I don't know exactly when it was built, I'd have to look under the radiator to see if it is there like it is on my parts truck.
  19. Recieved my swag yesterday, thanks!
  20. I took a closer look at the sunvisors at the JY, they don't look to be in good shape, they are functional but have rips and the drivers side is flimsy with the internal support broken, so not sure if you'd be interested still. The center console is in good shape if you are looking for a short one, just had one small crack on the passenger side that wasnt very long. It runs from the bottom up to the top of the lower ridgeline but is hard to see in the pictures.
  21. local JY has this truck, if its the right color I can pick them up monday,
  22. what color of visors do you want.
  23. i can see monday if the truck is still around.
