  1. Pinned in the DIY section, page 4 of the post has the brackets picture. http://comancheclub.com/topic/19732-random-informative-picture-thread/
  2. coolant tank was a cheap chinese one but since I put it in everythings working as it should. Even the issue i was having with the engine having high revs has seemed to go away (for now, lol). Only in stop and go traffic did it get anywhere close to the red line (just touched it) and I picked up a factory aux fan from a 90 XJ today to help with that.Still have a 3 core radiator and thermostat that I plan to install still but its not as big a priority.
  3. just ordered this one, should be here this afternoon luckily. http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx/Radiator-Coolant-Reservoir/_/R-NDP6053404_0374044893. I have not had a chance to see the crack but its gotten bad enough that its almost a steady stream and I can barely go 10 miles before the coolant is gone. I have a plastic welding kit that I have not had the chance to play with since I got it, was thinking of trying that to see how well it worked.
  4. the local parts stores (NAPA, Autozone, Advance, Oriellys) do not carry it and the local yards also do not have any available. Its my only vehicle and I do not have the option of parking it for a few days while I wait for one to show up in the mail so was trying to find a way to hold it over while I got one shipped here.
  5. Can anyone tell me how well a product like JB Weld works on the coolant tank to patch a leak? I'm looking for a way to keep the tank from leaking for a few days until I can get a new one. Just purchased a new CRS radiator so will be using the closed system for awhile, otherwise i'd convert to the open system.
  6. I have both of those from a 91 if you are still looking. Can post pictures if you are interested.
  7. I smashed the drivers side section on my slider, went to an Ace Hardware and put plexi in its place.
  8. Has anyone ever done a powered rear window (one piece) that slides down like an Blazer or Wagoneer? :dunno:
  9. Have the 87 driveable and 88 parts truck. Buddy of mine in town thats not on here has two as well that will end up as one 4wd conversion.
  10. I will be going thru and replacing all the worn out suspension parts on my truck this next week and looking for opinions on the best kits/manufacturers for the bushings, shocks, etc. Will be using it mostly on pavement with some towing and occasional off road in the form of fields and mostly looking for smoother ride and longest lasting. Currently have 235/75 R15's on factory rims with the stock setup. While looking thru the forums have seen a couple that discussed using airbags. With a stock setup, would there be any difference in the ride if i installed airbags as helpers, especially in the rear and does anyone know of a kit, preferably bolt in as my welding skills don't exist yet.
  11. If you're interested, I have a tan dash I'm willing to sell. I get an employee discount at Fed Ex so shipping won't be too bad.
  12. i have sunvisors and the holding clips. Both in good shape if you need them. $40
  13. no problem. once i saw the headrests been thinking of finding some for myself, only I'd need black. lol
  14. finally got the pics posted, here is the link Some of the pictures look closer to blue than grey, I took the pictures as the sun was going down but the actual color is the ones I posted earlier. I just wanted to give you an idea of condition. The only rips in the vinyl are on the sides of the lower seat.
  15. Will be able to post pictures on Monday, have to leave town for the weekend and am two days behind on the packing for it. lol. Did not see any big or unusual issues with the covers when i pulled the seats out, will ask $50+shipping for the covers.
  16. Went back to the JY yesterday and the Manche had disappeared, strange since I had just noticed it on their website and they usually hold on to things for a month, :dunno: was pissed since it was another 87 set up with my triple sliding rear glass in good shape, windshield in good shape, bed, 4wd, 4.0L. :fs1: Only thing on it that wasn't useable on mine was the front clip and the BA-10. At least I grabbed the fuel sending unit on my trip last week.
  17. I'll be heading back to the JY either TU or Wends next week. Will pull it then and get back to you.
  18. I haven't been around here much this last week. By chance did you have the latch? And yes, that is the right color. Did not make it to the JY this week due to family coming, I want to get the slider rear window before anyone else damages it so I am will go next week. I'll grab the glove box door for you and let you know when I have it.
  19. I have tan interior pieces from an 88 I can sell you. The sunvisors and seat were moldy and trash but i have one sunvisor clip and everything you see. Link to the pictures is here:
  20. JY here has this one in good shape. At least it was a month ago when i was last there. Plan on heading up there this weekend so i can pull the box off but was planning on grabbing the interior as well.

    Fixable?

Could have made this an easy answer if i had checked in the first place but the yard won't sell fuel tanks at all.

    Fixable?

The rim and one of its sisters is still on the donor at the JY. I am going back later this week to pull off the bed, windows and other parts i think are useable. If you was interested, I'd pull them for you, JY's price is $20 per wheel.

    Fixable?

local pick apart punched a hole in what looks to be a brand new tank. Was wondering what the opinions were towards the cost of a repair and if its worth it. Hole is in the left rear of the tank and not sure what they would charge me for the tank. I already stripped everything else off of it but not often you see something this shiny underneath. lol
  24. Found a 87 MJ yesterday with a blue interior. Was already planning to pull the interior plastic but can get the glove box door for you if its the right shade. I don't have a good picture of the latch but i included one of the sunvisor bracket as a reference.
  25. Tried to tow a 2006 Camry with the following results. Had towed a parts MJ (minus engine) on a dolly with no problems so thought the truck would handle this. Also had used the trailer on a long trip with the truck once prior but only had an arcade game and kids playhouse on it. Obviously did not have the proper setup, was planning to stop and get a weight distributing hitch in about 6 miles from where i ended up facing east on westbound lanes. Only made it three miles after loading the car. Six months after this i was flagged down by another driver, apparently I had a bent axle on the right rear that I attribute to this as well. Good news, duct tape holds taillights in well as I still have not had the chance to replace the bed yet, but its only been a year. lol
