  1. PO had bought it for his 15 yr old to use as a school truck/project. Made a photocopy of his title as it listed it as a damaged vehicle, I'll need to find that and scan it for my digital copy. I did purchase it in Yankton, and it does show up under the SD Vin search as of today. I like the look of the stripes, will hang on to them. lol
  2. interesting history
  3. I'm happy to hear my truck is getting a metric ton.
  4. I am willing to ship on your dime, I am out of town until this weekend but can get estimates then.
  5. I have this one taken from a 91, located in Lincoln Nebraska. tears in the back, minor rips in vinyl section and stained seating area as shown in the pics.
  6. Located this mother lode at a Upull in Lincoln, Ne in 2018. Quickly grabbed the bucket seats, D44 rear axle, intact headliner and tilt column for use in the rebuild of my 87. Also have all the plastics from the interior as well as the carpet that will be sold. Sadly was not able to get the front axle as well as I was leaving town a few days later.
  7. 1991 located at a Upull it in Omaha NE in 2015. Was able to save the front bumper and will use it on my 87 once I get it back on the road.
  8. Was a parts truck located at a Upull in Omaha Ne in 2014. This was crushed a few days after it arrived, not typical for that site that holds them up to a month. I was able to get the tailgate, lenses and other interior pieces.
  9. This was labeled as an 88 by a Upullit in Lincoln NE, 2012. I did not have any funds at the time to get anything other than the taillights off before it was crushed
  10. interesting to see dealer, info, while i do not have any other information from the PO the title shows a purchase date by himself in 1998 from an owner in Aurora, CO

  16. are you still looking for a jack? Local yard just got a 88 Pioneer (Auto) with the jack in it. No tire iron though. I also have a grey bench (1991) that is available.
  17. Had a 88 Comanche with automatic show up a few days ago at the local yard. I'm unable to get a price for the harness until tomorrow but will see what the cost is for you. I've been more focused on pulling the items in the back but do not need the harness as I already have a spare. I also was able to get he po's name from an old registration left in the car. I'll be calling him in the next few days to see what items worked on the truck and why it was sold, other than the body being shot.

  23. Just started driving the MJ after two years of it being off the road. It was running fine and I was starting to put it to work again but it started acting up when I put it in reverse. Start of the problem occurred when I drove it a short distance with the parking brake on, since the light is on continously (wiring to the parking brake is not connected) I did a stupid and forgot to release it. When I would try to back up, it would take high revs, and the truck would only travel about half a foot before it would stop moving, and would feel like one or more wheels were locking up. Forward movement seems to be fine, I had to have it towed home for a separate issue and it is now in my driveway. I jacked up each rear tire individually to see if the parking brakes had locked up, I made a small adjustment to the right rear adjuster to back it off slightly but made no change on the drivers side. Both wheels did turn freely on their own although there is marks on the driveway that suggest the right rear was not turning at first and it would lock up at first when i turned it by hand backwards. Today I had an observer watch the passenger side as I tried to back up, both wheels were turning. Front left wheel is locking up after a few inches of travel and is then dragged if I go any further. the truck is parked on a steep slope so have not jacked up all four tires yet, that will be done tomorrow as well as taking the front wheels off to look at the brakes. Also, another symptom is the truck will not roll backwards on the slope when all braking devices are released- parking brake is off, foot is off the pedal, transmission in N and no difference if the transfer case is in any slot. Looking for any advice or links to writeups on here. Not really sure what to put in the search box. lol. I have not done the CAD repairs yet and will be looking at the CAD as well. I need to get the MJ back on the road preferably by the end of the week as the main vehicle here just tossed a timing belt (we think) and wonder what short term fixes might be available. In the humble opinions of the brains on here, would removing the front driveshaft be enough to unlock the front axle and allow me 2wd until it can be fixed or replaced?
  24. Pm if you are interested. one set left of the lower sills
  25. I have a set of mirrors that I am not going to be using anymore. Drivers side bent over as I was driving down the interstate, was able to see it in time and pull it inside before I lost the mirror. Passenger's side is all there, the mirror portion is loose and flops around, I can look at it tomorrow to see if it just needs tightening down. At first I liked the look of them, but after a couple long trips with a trailer or loads in the back blocking my view, the inability to adjust the passenger side from the drivers seat is not going to work for me even if the mirrors were still in good shape and the placement would have to move forward so I could see out of them. I still have all the pieces to put the drivers side back together, pm me if you are interested.
