Got the bed sprayed today. We had a $100 gift card that we won in a raffle at a Jeep show so we wanted to get the MJ done. Here is what it looks like... Here is what I am pissed about. To start with...you can see the chips of paint he ripped of when removing the tape (pics below point it out) after the job was done. He said it is something that happens to trucks that have been painted, BUT never bothered to say anything about the possibility of that before he did the work. He then has the balls to charge $60 more than quoted because he didn't tell me about the extra charge for doing the "over the rail" part. We ended up paying $456 for this AFTER the $100 gift card was deducted  . I am feeling quite raped at this point and I will not recommend Line-X to anyone...EVER!! I could have had the job done at another place (different brand) for less without the $100 GC.

AIS Solenoid is the more common modern day name for it now. Maybe that was it...??

These things can be a HUGE PITA...BUT...they can be fun too. The only one that I have seen working consistently is a site that I used to be a Mod on. The site staff pics a "Rig of the Month" based on criteria that only they know. There is no submissions of pics or anything like that. Each month there is a new Rig posted as the ROTM and no one knows how or why it was chosen, but they all go along with it and don't quibble over who won and why. We did it for a long time on my site ( Florida Jeepers ), but it got to be such a pain that we have stopped it for now. Our rules were that it had to be an action shot...NO POSERS...and it had to be legal riding so whom ever submitted the picture had to tell where it was taken to verify it was on legal land. We have many other rules, but I'm not going in to it here. If anyone would like to see them to possibly get ideas, I would be happy to copy/paste them in to a PM or on here for you.

Thanks Pat. She does a great job driving. She only backed out of one obstacle all day on this trip as it was about a 50 - 60 foot hill to go down and two other rigs had already rolled going down it. One was a TJ that barrel rolled 3 times before getting to the bottom. Her license plate on the YJ is - SHE ROKS - ;)

 Kids today are just out of control. It's the parents fault too as there is no control or punishment like there used to be. Fathers need to grow some balls and get out there belts again...mothers need to pay attention to whats going on and get out the whippin' switch.

Good job & congrats :D Feels pretty good to be chosen. Our YJ has been the "rig of the month" on a couple different sites before so I know the feeling.

IAC = Idle Air Control motor. It should be on the front of the throttle body beside the TPS (left of when looking from front).

Check with these folks fora kit... http://www.tsmmfg.com/2460.htm I know this one says '74 - '92, but they may have others if you ask or search the site. Are you talking about an XJ Wagoneer? The Grand Wagoneers have 6 lug (6 on 5.5) axles. If you have a Grand Wagoneer with 5 lug...it has been changed.

Look for fluid leaks INSIDE the fire wall. A lot of times the master will leak inside and you don't notice it. I have had masters go bad that don't leak externally at all though so it doesn't mean it's not bad if you don't see leaks.

I have heard of mice & rats getting in to vehicles many times, but this is a first for finding a nest in the bell housing for me.

Really? ...maybe I'm missing it... other than the chick in the Bikini and a couple engine blocks that someone is trying to sell (Titan I assume), I didn't see the "good info" you mentioned... :chillin: Sorry...I am very tired from 4 days of camping & wheelin'. There should be another "S" on the end. Try this... www.JeepStrokers.com ;) The other link was from a place in Ocala, so I thoughtmaybe there was some inside sales deal you were trying to pimp... Just kidding... Thanks for the other link! I didn't know that the other site existed, but it ends up being Titan Engines in Ocala...quite the coincidence 8) . I have not tried to build one myself either just because of all the details as explained here. I will likely opt for the paying someone to do it or just buying one already done when I am ready.

As with the rest...I am very happy that no one is hurt. From what I see in your pics and comparing to what I see come in our body shop at the dealership every day, I would say that there is no way they will total it. Most insurance companies will nt total a vehicle any more unless the damage is more than 80% of the value  . The limit used to be 70%, but some are going as high as 90% now  .

:laughin: I knew someone would be asking that. There are several abandoned limerock mining pits in the Ocala area and these folks have taken one and are developing an ORV park out of it. It is still young and small, but it's a place to go that you don't have to worry about getting in trouble...which is rare in Florida any more. We had a couple other bigger/better pits that the owner was allowing us to play in for free, but they have now been closed too so hopefully this one will continue to be developed and grow.

Hey ya'll... We have been gone for 4 days at the Spring Scramble which is a Florida event that has been going on every April for 5 years now. Kind of a small turn out this year with a lot of folks just not able to afford the gas, but we managed to have a good time anyway. It's not MJ stuff as we wheel our YJ and not the MJ, but I thought ya'll may enjoy looking a little anyway :D . Click here for complete album OH...BTW...my wife (Tina) is driving in all of these...I'm the spotter/photographer  I did include something MJ in the weekend though ;)

I know of two others that are members here, but I have not seen either one of them post in a while. There are also a couple from the Tampa area.

Keep us posted and we'll offer a prayer for him as well.

 Very nice. It does look good with 33's. They are not stuffed in so you have room for articulation which is just the way I like it too. It makes no sense to lift a truck, then stuff the biggest tire under it that you possibly can. 8) -
Pat...I am not reallly sure what you are asking. I can't get that kind of stuff through the dealership and the only Comanche hats that I have seen come through this site. If you are asking about a hat that we sell through our personal business, then let me know which one for sure and I will see what I can do.
