  1. :agree: Darn things are like potato chips. Can't have just a couple...
  2. Good enough for me! Glad you're happy with it and it looks great on your truck. But wait... where's the front bumper? :hmm:
  3. Did you put the brackets on the frame and then the bumper to the brackets or did you just bolt everything together first? I used the same measurements for the brackets on yours as what I did on the first effort of producing bumpers. With the brackets on the frame, the bumper should bolt on with the mounting plates on the inside of the brackets. Here's a picture of ComancheKid45's bumper, but the mounting would be the same:
  4. Got a few things done in this truck today. Pulled the bench, dash, heater core, cleaned up a bunch of the wiring in the dash, and started on a template for blocking off the firewall. Yeah... the heater box isn't going back in... like a real race truck. :rock on:
  5. Glad I wasn't just getting stuck in some sort of time warp cycle or something crazy like that. :thwak:
  6. Jim, didn't you already offer the guy $500, go and look at it, and then pass because it wasn't as described back in January? http://comancheclub.com/topic/36768-diesel-swap/ ... really feels familiar. :hmm:
  7. :peek: ... guilty. Not a whole lot going on over here on this side of the state so I'm forced to venture around.
  8. Nope. :D Speaking of which... What doesn't fit right? You've got me worried now because I think I might know what's off... the brackets, right?
  9. Couldn't help but notice over of vortex... ... felt it better to bring it up here. Any pictures of the plate?
  10. You watching this one, Jim? Guy is dropping a v2203 Kubota in his Cherokee. Kinda neat, I think. http://www.dieselbombers.com/diesel-engine-conversions/110855-jeep-cherokee-xj-v2203-kubota.html
  11. This! I totally agree. I had my own experience a few months back: http://comancheclub.com/topic/34975-cc-club-member-visit/ ... that Jim, I tell ya... hell of a guy!
  12. Yeah... but only because it would most likely be me who bought it. :shake:
  13. Why not... it'd been a while and needs a bump. :peek:
  14. Beat me to it... I was going to suggest the first link as I would bet that Marcel has material left over from the D60 truss.
  15.
  16. So... what you saying is you might not notice if one went missing?
  17. Lots of good info and pictures here: http://comancheclub.com/topic/20947-pictures-of-comanches-with-toppers/
  18. Yeah... there just might be two years worth of beer cans in there!

:???: Interesting... I don't suppose anything is left of this mystery truck?

    Thank you for not!
  21. This has been a long time running now and I think I'm going to stick a fork in it for now. The inside of the house is as done as it's going to be until we decide it's a good time to start on the kitchen or bathroom... which ever comes first. Anyway... Before: After: Every window and door in the house was replaced and it was with much celebration that the trim and new extension jams were finished! It was a great time to paint with all the trim off, so that was done in the living room/kitchen, hallway, and bedroom. Coming up for this spring and summer, I'd like to clean up the yard from ripping it all up, insulate and finish the single stall garage, and put a porch on the front of the house if there's time/funds. All in all, I'm super happy to be done with everything that really needs to get done.
  22. Perhaps... I was thinking something along the lines of what I had on my '88 years ago: Similar lines without having a huge assembly hanging off the back of the truck. I'd call it somewhere between a roll pan and a tubular bumper.
  23. Sorry, Don... as much as I agree it'll probably get a tubular push bumper. ... probably size it down some though as I don't plan on anyone trying to bump draft me. :crossfingers:
  24. Cool truck and welcome!
