I've got a few. I never did a build thread on my '72 Beetle, but I wasn't on any sites when I did that. Here's a small selection of the more memorable ones... Go to the parts store and ask for the rear shocks on a 1993 Toyota T100 with 4wd. I used them for the rear of my truck with about 4" of lift and they're a little short if I wanted to really flex the rear axle. On the road, they're just fine. Straight from Monroe's website, check the extended and compressed lengths from the Comanche: ... to the Toyota T100: Not quite a couple inches longer, but I'd say better than running stock shocks. You've got plenty of off the shelf shocks to choose from too if there's a budget in mind.

I almost bought the red Pioneer before him, but it would've taken a bit of work to make it reliable and the interior was trashed from what I remember. For what he's doing, either truck would've been just fine. Good luck with it!

Okay... I know that truck. It was for sale on here a while back. The guy bought another truck (one that I also looked at) that was a little cleaner. No real history on the truck, though. It was driven, taken apart to a '97+ swap, he found a better truck, then put this one up for sale. Glad someone got it! Better to pay scrap price than to see is scrapped.

Who did you buy it from? Looks familiar...

That;s what I was thinking! I'll be watching this one for sure. I'd love to have a diesel for a daily driver so it's neat to see another option to go with. Any common known issues with the xd2s?

I put down one coat then let it get tacky. Once it's mostly dry, I threw on another coat. It's also nice to get a can or two of the spray on liner as well for getting WAY into the corners and up under the bed rail.

I did the Herculiner roll on kit as well. I ended up putting a couple coats in the bed followed up with some touch ups. This picture has the bed mat, but it shows the texture a little better: I'm a sucker for trying to keep rocks off of my rocker panels too, so they got a healthy two coats as well. All in all, there's over two gallons of the stuff on my truck. I love how it holds up, but it's all in the prep. A down side though is that it does fade in the sun. Mine didn't turn brown, but it is a flat black. Putting down a quick coat of black paint helps keep other colors from showing through.
