88whitemanche replied to 88whitemanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Hmmm..., And yes I was planning to use the xj fans.... But the site doesn't describe much technical details about the controller.... Even searching the part # doesn't show up any details of it... -
I apologize in advance but I've lingering the idea about running two electric fans and a 4.0 radiator to do a hidden winch set up for my truck and came across this temp controller to run electric fans for cheap....but want you guys intake on it http://www.dirtboundoffroad.com/adjustable-thermostatic-fan-control-160-210-f.html

How did the gas tank skid perform?

So say I just wanted six inches, what would I do if I already have a 3inch? And also my tires get ally he way up into the fender pretty easily so if I got like 3 more inches, it would give me more articulation. Either get new leaf springs @ 6" lift, Or use stock springs with a SOA. If your goal is 35" tires, You'll want at least 5-6" of lift imo. Would 35s fit with a 4.5inch plus I have bigger fender flares that took off about 2 inches of the body? I have a 5.5" lift, With 33's & Bushwhacker cut-out flares, And its a pretty tight fit. 33s @ 4.5 would work with proper bumpstops, But i don't think i'd do 35's without cutting more off the fender, or lifting more. I have 4.5 inches with 32s and a good bit of back spacing and rub like crazy... You rub? I have 4.5 and 32s with huge backspacing and no rubbing...cleArance for days...

I know about the MAT sensor because I've removed it and cleaned it.... And it's the one on top of the intake.... This one I think as per another site...says its the CTS and its in the side of the intake.... This website....idk how accurate this could be... http://m.4wdmechanix.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.4wdmechanix.com%2FTuning-and-Troubleshooting-the-2.5L-Jeep-TBI-Four.html#2723

Also do these 2.5s have 2 coolant temp sensors? I've replaced the one in the back of the head for the gauges and never replaced the one in the intake manifold....(if that's the other one) Does the one in the intake manifold cause problems with how the engine runs?

Ok.... So I have a question...what does the starter relay power up? Earlier today I turned the key and nothing(no click or crank nothing just dead silent) Usually when this happens I just tap the relay and it cranks up the trucks after....

Eagle- Tha backfiring only happens when it cuts back on and my foot is the on the pedal because I barely have time to do what my instincts tell me to do and that's to avoid an accident and get off the hwy to the side of the road.... It seems to only happen at wide open throttle on the hwy which is most of my daily driving...
