Don, As much as I hated those commercials of Cal Worthington in the 80's the Spanish speakers of Los Angeles have taken Cal's commercials, and taken them to a new level of shame.

Hi Joe, It was at the same gas station where we met up that day, he was even in the same parking spot you were in. :clapping: It's settled then I will buy lotto tickets today!
-
Mike, I hope you played the Lotto for Saturday seeing two MJ's in one day around these parts might even be considered an omen!
-
Eagle- 5 weeks with no MJ? That's MJ rehab! Best of luck and Merry Summer Christmas to you!

I can get into a Grand 99-2001ish for $3-4K depending on miles... additionally I'm looking at maybe another Grand Prix (97-2001ish) as my 97 Grand Prix GT was my first 'new' car I ever owned and I kick myself every day for trading it in on the Tahoe we have now...Not great DD mileage, but it at least has a backseat for the little ones. Wade, Back in 2002 when my wife wanted to sell her 1997 ZJ we drove a used 2001 four door Grand Prix GTP, black with grey interior, and man what a fast ride! My wife utlimately settled on her 1998 MBZ SL500, but if my memory serves me right the Grand Prix had very similar performance with seating for four! Either way I see a win win here, the most important thing is that you are happy, and I am certain if you sell your truck some MJ lover somewhere will also be happy.

Option B, I was going to suggest considering a Cherokee for the replacement vehicle, but I don't see as many as I used to out this way as Craigslist is loaded with Grands right now. I have to hand it to you Wade, you took in a tired beaten stray MJ fixed it up to the point of being a very viable truck that really only needs a little more TLC to be tip top.

Loved my wife's 1997 red laredo with the 4.0 and selec trac, never let us down.

Bus port overhead console?
jeepdoggydogB replied to Automan2164's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Most definitely OBDI Joe. Do you know what functions are on your ZJ console? Got a p/n? Look like this? I was going to put in one of the mini ZJ overhead consoles like this for the Homelink and ambient temp functions, but came up with other solutions. Don,It is the longer console, with the compass, temp guage, and a sensor that looks like homelink -
Bus port overhead console?
jeepdoggydogB replied to Automan2164's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Don, A very long time ago I purchased a 1994 ZJ overhead console and the sensor in the hopes it might work. Like many of my projects it is sitting in the garage, and I went another route with the center console. That being said wouldn't a 1994 ZJ still be ODBI? -
brand new "comanche" emblem's
jeepdoggydogB replied to btm24's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Looks like any NOS Comanche specific product is going for big $$ these days. Someone just paid $140 for a NOS spare tire winch on Ebay. -
Track bar problems...

I had a similar issue with my JKS trackbar. After it came loose a second time I used loctite and haven't had a problem since. -
NOS Spare Tire Winch

That Lechon and Turkey recipee sounds tasty. It is similar to how my Filipino friends in Hawaii prepare theirs, only they dig a pit, use lava rocks and add pineapple to what is wrapped in the banana leaves. I once celebrated Thanksgiving with my relatives in Texas and I got to give them gold star, Turkey brined for 24 hours then roasted it on a spit tasted pretty darn good. However you prepare your Thanksgiving day meal everyone enjoy this day and give thanks for all you have.

Tom,You got it made out there, my two Sisters live in Napa and Boyd Hot Springs, and some of my in laws lived in Middletown when I was growing up. Great Country to live in you are a lucky guy!
-
Beautiful country, is that by Middletown?
-
Do you mean this song?
-
Yes, I used to watch them back in 1969, with the death of network Saturday morning cartoons, Saturday mornings mean something totally different than they did for us. Remember the little Snippet from the Splits called Danger Island?

clear marker lights
jeepdoggydogB replied to STERLING STINGER's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
nice truck! to me anyway, i think on an mj that's all black (like mine) clear corners look infinitely better than the orange ones, which (again, to me) look a little out of place when every other light in the front is clear. i put orange bulbs in them so they still light up orange. i don't consider them "rice" or "fast and furious" style, just a tasteful visual upgrade that ties the front end together. fender portholes on anything other than the buicks they originated on and six-gun shift knobs to me are "rice"... all that being said though, paul i would stick with the orange lenses, i don't think clear ones would look all that good on an all white mj.. they would look ok on the maroon one if the grille was colormatched to the truck though... Thanks WBKrazy like you I am a little partial to black trucks  . -
clear marker lights
jeepdoggydogB replied to STERLING STINGER's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Like has been said To each their own (I think clear lenses look great with black), I am considering switching back to the amber\orange turn marker lenses for more of an SF Giants theme. :jump:
