well all I can do is hope that the text message that I just got from the painter in on the level. Today is 11 months to the day that he picked my truck up. It has been "only a day or two away" from being done for the last 5 months. I am on a business trip (Essex Mass. at the moment, was in Bath Maine this afternoon, tomorrow in Hooksett New Hampshire) Bottom line IT IS FINALLY DONE and I won't be home till late Thursday night and can't pick it up till after work on Friday. Man that feels like for ever...Kid at Christmas? yeah that's me. Fingers crossed for me guys.......

Thanks for the compliment it means a lot. I really like the wheel tire combo. check my build thread "the building of Bucky" for more details. On that note.... I am dying to get home from the business trip I am on in New Hampshire/Maine through Thursday night as I just got a text from the painter that my truck is ready to get picked up. Considering that today is 11 months to the day that he picked it up yeah I am a little excited....

I could not have said it better. I am sick to death of paying for lazy "entitled" deadbeats to continue being leaches (ex daughter in law comes to mind). I agree... The US government needs to turn over everything to the states and then shrink itself to the size that was intended to be when this country was founded. The state militias could collaborate to secure our borders While I'm pissed about the current state of affairs, why not talk about people dependent on government assistance. Some people need help, I get that. But why do I have to work my @$$ off and miss seeing my daughter grow up just so I can give 20% of my money to be redistributed to pay for someone to sit on their @$$. Assistance needs to be temporary not a way of life. Why should they be able to buy Red Bull and candy bars? How about putting restrictions on what can be bought. Oh yeah and how about drug testing applicants for assistance? I have to take them for my job. Shouldn't they have to take one to spend my money. I once saw a lady talking on her cell phone, driving a newer cross over SUV, pull into the food bank and pick up a box. Some people's priorities baffle me.

in or out of the house and senate?
-
too bad he is selling his jeep...guy seems to have all his other priorities ironed out ok.
-
Points well taken............... as I said all involved are doing whatever they can to make the most out of the squabble, and I stand by my opinion on term limits regardless.
-
Term Limits Term Limits Term Limits....Two 4 year terms and done...This constant campaigning for re-election is a conflict of interest. with pay to equal no more than a soldier deployed overseas serving his/her country.Pension??? not even going there. Greedy Jaded pricks. Political office was intended as an obligation an honor and privilege to serve your country and its people NOT A FU*KIN CAREER. Yeah the tea party folks might have started it but everyone is doing what they all do best and posturing to make the most for their side. Get that? serve its people not special interest campaign donators. Some of these boys would do well to bag any re-election plans.

If he gets 20K for that truck I would say that most of us here are sitting on our own gold mine. Hell I just might just retire. Bob -
What Did Your Wife Do To Your Comanche Today?
buffalob replied to earl*t's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
some damn fine rigs there Earl mighty pretty. -
loved having one on mine for the winter...no garage, and Denver snow.
-
going to paint it to match the truck?
-
It could not have happened to a more worthy truck (and owner). Earl your truck has served as a major inspiration to me for the 10 month long ordeal with my paint debacle. Every time I have just about decided that no vehicle is worth it I look through your pics and rekindle the passion. I sincerely look forward to the day we get to meet and swap stories. Kudos to you my friend.

yeah I do....Unfortunately I have not come home to bucky yet as I had to stay a bit longer in Arkansas to visit family. I am originally from Fayetteville Arkansas, and still have small bit of family in the state. (both sides of my family were from Pine Bluff in the southern part of the state)I will be flying home on Sunday morning with the delay. Can't really complain as I got a chance to visit on a business trip so it did not cost me a dime. I am told that I will be bringing her home Sunday afternoon. Man I feel like a kid ready to pop before Christmas morning.

I gotta tell a that your tube work looks impressive. I work in the tube fabrication industry (this week I was in tube bending shops from Dallas, Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Several in upstate Arkansas . These facilities manufacture products ranging from heating/air-conditioning, automotive and motorcycle exhaust to military and aerospace parts) and I occasionally see some "backyard" work that really looks good, and is well thought out and executed. Yours is outstanding. Are you considering a set of tube doors to complete the package?

Looking really good man. I sure wish my bed rails had been as straight as yours. When is she going for paint? Color????
