  1. No, those are fullsize Jeep truck rockers. J10, J20, Gladiator, etc. They don't list a Comanche option. As said you could try calling him, he might be able to get them, but I doubt it would be any good.
  2. You can replace the E12s with normal ones. There is tons of room.
  3. AFAIK they're functionally the same when used in a manual application? Unless they're column shift? Just don't hook up the interlock cable and it's fine? I'm going to hack the lower flange off it so I can put it in my J10, which will be a manual trans.
  4. Since you're parting that 92, wanna sell me the steering column and ignition key? I seem to have a shortage of columns that aren't screwed.
  5. I've thought about it. There's a truck or two in line before it though. I believe the uniframe is actually still sound, there's no smoking gun that it has yielded behind the cab, it looks like the box literally squished down and pulled the front bulkhead back and the tailgate/lights forward. But who knows until I really look at it. One way or another I think it's still good enough to make a project out of. Hell, it was probably in better shape than my 88, before the whole tree thing.
  6. Get a Super 88 kit. It widens the axle without spacers, and eliminates the C-clips. If I was to run an 8.8 I'd get it.
  7. It's bent. Or the box is at least. The camera doesn't show how bad. The tree that fell on it was supposedly about a foot around. The box is squished down considerably, to the point it pulled the front of it away from the cab. The uniframe appears fine. But short of taking the box off and putting something straight on it, it's hard to say.
  8. Not coming to a build thread near you anytime soon. My buddy sold his house so I had to go get my 86, and my 76 J20. So it's here now. Which means I can't just forget about it. I know, cool starry bra.
  9. Did you buy a tranny without s bellhousing?
  10. There is aftermarket high steer knuckles too. I'm not a huge fan of them, but they're basically meant for this situation.
  11. You're not going to fix that by flipping anything. Look at doing crossover with a WJ knuckle, although I'm not sure if that will work or not. Or do what 90% of people do and bend the drag link for clearance.
  12. As in keeping the factory inverted-Y setup and flipping the tierod on the drivers side, or going to inverted-T and flipping both sides? Wait. I'm not sure if a YJ is inverted-T or inverted-Y from the factory...
  13. And I wish somebody in the aftermarket would start making these stupid things... I need one for my XJ and have had no luck so far.
  14. If you hold the 2dr version up to a 4dr door, it's obvious it won't fit.
  15. Dead robbers are never a bad thing.
  16. [Nelson laugh]Ha ha![/Nelson laugh]
  17. Clean it off with brakeclean and take it for a drive. If it's dropping it will be obvious enough just taking it for a short spin.
  18. I wouldn't buy it because it has been in salt water.
  19. It won't leak even if it falls off the transmission. Most likely front our rear output seal. Input seal might be bad too. As Pete said, it'll be obvious if you look at it.
  20. I had no issues with my Luk master. The slave cylinder, eh, not so much. Centric or Sachs should be okay. Don't get the C-tec Centric stuff. OEM would be good, but I doubt they actually make them still.
  21. How are you trying to get them out? Professionals basically never use penetrating oil. It hardly helps most of the time, if it does anything at all. Every parts can be removed using a combination of brute force and ignorance. Or careful planning and well thought out brute force. You can push them out with the power steering, but personally I normally just use a slide hammer and go full hog on it.
  22. The only difference is the cover VS the other early D35s. The early D35s are sorta better than the later ones since they aren't c-clip, but that's like saying it's sorta better to accidentally break your left hand instead of your right, neither is really any good at the end of the day.
  23. They resell them. It's super easy to steal them, and they can get $50-200 a pop for them depending what they are. If you see a CL ad with multiple tailgates in it, phone and ask for one they don't have listed... See if they say "I"ll have one for you by the weekend" - they're probably stealing them.
  24. Have you priced any of the bolt in D44 front axles? A 'few thousand' won't go far, and it won't do both. The only cheap(ish) one is the TJ Rubicon axle, which isn't much of a real upgrade.
