Is that a real 10" lift? Not an 8" that sits high or anything? Think I could get a good side shot...? (Trying to figure out what height I'm actually at) Oh, that thing is really clean.

The reality is that there isn't going to be an easy way to do this. If I was to run a SBC/SBF I could have a propane setup cooking in about 20 minutes. Impco 425's and OHG 450's are easy to find, and often come with the adapter for either the SBC or SBF. Tanks are still up in the air. I'd like to put 2 in, one on each side of the rear driveshaft. Obviously, the stock gas tank would go. I'm not having huge luck junkyarding tanks that are of the ideal dimensions yet. Although, if I wanted to run a single 200L tank, I could go one right now...

It's a mystery to me why they are marked in the first place. After all, the 88 olympics were in Seoul, South Korea. Why did DC care? I have no idea. But I've never seen an 88 in Canada that is marked as such.

Oh, 300A's are ment for dual fuel use. It doesn't have a throttle control on it. I could actually mount it to a dud carb if nothing else, but I want a slicker package than that. I'm might build a TB on the lathe at school... If nothing else. Or I'll keep looking for a Impco 225, as they're a lot easier to deal with.

My 35s have about a pound of copperheads (copper coated lead BB's) in each of them. Smooth as a, uh, well, hell, it's smooth. (Oh, the copper rubs off the BB's really quick. I use copperheads because it seems hard to find the pure lead ones now)

Okay, so, I fixed those spring hangers... Image Not Found Image Not Found I think it looks good. Now just to get some steering on it, and build my @#$%ing rear driveshaft. (My buddy will be doing it shortly) Oh, and some gears in that axle would help... (Another buddy) As a side note, anybody know of a good way to say, bolt an Impco 300A mixer to a jeep throttle body? Or a throttle body that I can bolt to both the impco and my jeep manifold? The EFI is gonna go...

Well, I can tell you that the Canadian versions (and any other export nation) did not get any such markings.

I'd give it a shot, just as it's cheap. At least, in comparison to running another gear ratio. That said, I've found the 2.5L to be gutless beyond belief in all of my experience with it. Long as you don't care about 1/4 mile times or plan to do any hardcore offroading it should be liveable though.

I think he means he has a AX-4 or T4, not an auto... (But, don't ask me anything about 4cyl trannies)

Very hard. It's not a gasket, per se, but they've actually glued it in place with polyurethane. I tried cutting it out with piano wire, then heated piano wire, then I gave up. It only cost me $10 for it to be professionally removed...

I think it hangs a bit lower... I could be useful and pop the covers on my D44 and my 8.8 and measure from the carrier centre-line to the lip; but I won't. But the 8.8 definatly has a wider base... I'd go with the D44 or the 8.8. 8.8 can run spacers to correct the width. You can get a factory 4.10/disk brake/LSD one easily enough... The stupid35 kit is a REALLY bad idea, IMHO. And I hate the 8.25.

It is made like everything else that AMC did. A collection of re-used junk. It might have relevent information regarding the 2.8L, but for the 2.5L the chrysler FSM makes WAY more sense.

What years is it supposed to cover?

Hey, well, at least they admit that they are making money off it as scrap metal. The local guy insists that he doesn't :nuts: and that therefore my 'leftover' vehicles are not worth anything to him :roll:
