  1. Oh, what's that saying? Welcome to the addiction. You know how I'd deal with that rust. SAWZALL!
  2. Sorta what I was thinking... Might be a problem with the head gasket. But, I'd look at the oil and see if there's any coolant in it. If there isn't, I'd really not be too worried. Just take a peak at the oil and coolant every now and again. Chances are they're being tools.
  3. You're only at 300. Still tight for anything but the most virgin of boards.
  4. They don't. Well said. And I have no idea how you guys manage to sell a D35. I had one with 3.07s and one with 4.10s. Both of them had to be given away - to the same guy - but the hitch was I also gave him a truck. The D35s were something I forced upon him.
  5. I'll have to work something out to get a couple of the canadian ones.
  6. Should be able to. There's a similar mod where you ditch the idler. The only difference is with mine you ditch the mech. fan and alternator location too.
  7. Pete, but then you'd have no rust-proofing! Maybe it's a little late though.
  8. I have No A/C, no mech fan, and I'm tired of blowing alternators... Thought I saw a thread to do this before, but I'm not sure. So, if this is stock: Image Not Found I'd like to go to something like this: Image Not Found Or Image Not Found I'm not sure if I should keep the idler or not. Alternativly, I wanted to use the YJ V-belt setup. I have a v-belt PS pump and Alt already. However, I'd need some new pullies and a water pump... Thoughts?
  9. I'd weld some plate to the sides of them. Yeah, I wish mine were still there. They'd be in pretty much the perfect postion. Pitty.
  10. Yeah, I still have to build the rear spring hangers. I keep tacking stuff together, looking at it, not liking it, getting the sledgehammer out. Too bad the unibody is so thrashed there from cutting off the LCA pockets.
  11. They're known for $#!&ty products... But, I'm pretty sure they sell an AAL for a MJ, and an AAL for a XJ. You specify which when you purchase.
  12. Phoned Parts Mike. $800 later, and I've got 2 high steer knuckles and arms in the mail!
  13. Open the door, roll the window down slowly... It will magically dissapear. I know it when I see it. Those buggers like to rust up then snap off, so you can't roll the window up. The mirror adjusting cables aren't very long, they go straight from the mirror to the knob on the inside of the door by the triangle window. Go rip a mirror off on a tree and you'll know what I'm talking about.
  14. My power steering is full of $#!&. The lines were unhooked and not plugged. Think I can just fill it up and it'll be alright?
  15. My local site had this problem. They delt with it by not allowing yahoo, hotmail, gmail, and the other free email sites to sign up. Kinda a PITA, but, no spam.
  16. That'd be the window regulator's track thingo.
  17. Actually, I really should have said TJ. Of course, now the TJ owners will be mad at me... I guess it would be the LJ guys that really need it.
  18. Maybe it's because they're realized the impotent wrangler owners need cheap meds.
  19. I've thought about narrowing it too. There's really nothing the way now. I could take 6" or so out of each side. Only problem is I don't know what I'd do with the headlights. Obviously they'd have to be moved in, but there's a TFing radiator there. Well, I guess it could go in the back too...
  20. Pfft. Who needs a CJ-8? They made the CJ-10! Notice the funkiness with the headlights?
  21. I'm interested in how your doubler works out... I finially gave up on the stock jeep stuff. My next drivetran seems likely to be a NP435 or SM465 or SM420 and a NP203/205 combo. And then put a 4:1 in the 205... Might as well just spend money... The good news is that other than the adapters/gears, it's cheap.
  22. Yup. Otherwise my engine bay will get filled with snow. Which is inconvenient...
  23. I only need to remove the front, because the front axle is moved forewards. Who knows how well this will come out.
  24. Can put in a non-cad axle shaft, and a new seal.
  25. Got at it today.... First I cleaned all the BS out of the way in the engine bay. And made sure the wiring could move to where I wanted it to. Image Not Found Image Not Found Batteries are going into the back now. They should have been there before. Uh-oh. We have a hole. Wait, it's not a boat, that's okay. Image Not Found I guess it's a little late to change my mind now. Image Not Found Mmm.
