98-02 Camaro Power Steering Pump
COFFMAN replied to COFFMAN's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The xj pump is very similar but not. The 3 bolt holes are the same, the inlet & outlet ports the same. The xj pump a little wider. But to bolt the xj pump up as the Camaro pump the XJ resivior filler would be on its side. So if i was to use the xj pump i would have to fit a remote resevior and machine a bit off the adaptor bracket, and be left with the plastic xj pulley. The Camoro pump was the only way to go just hard to get in Aussie ( impossible ) Dayco parts widely used on GM cars in Australia. The pump is a reco one. Would have, Should have brought a new, now i know what i know... live and learn. -

OK opened CC eairlier today in IE , seen the two replies to this post. Now later in the day opened CC in Fire Fox and i can add the quotes from Eagle & yxmj, carnt do this if open in IE or post Pics. Fire Fox is working for me. But the last time i had trouble i think it was in reverse open CC in IE, Open Photo bucket in Fire Fox.............................. I have no idea what this is talking about. Is "you Quote" an application, or an add-in for browsers?
-
All sorted Eagle... Followed Alexia advice and deleted browser cache... But I found that I had to Open CC in Fire Fox, and Open Photo Bucket in IE. I,m currently online in IE and have noted I can not add you Quote. Will open in Fire Fox and see if that fixes the Quote thing.

Alternator & tensioner pulley bracket. Alternator & heater hose 180o bends. Camaro P/S pump Heater hose fittings, welded to the P/S pump spacer. A/C pipe modifyied with the low preasure switch fitting in the wrong spot !!!!
-
I used the C-ROK steering box brace as a template fro the R/H drive conversion to mount steering box. The sleeves on the left are the original. Had bigger sleeves made and tig welded to the outer plate. Asls fitted L/H brace as this was sent by misake. will give me a good platform for a steering box brace.

Using me still new favorite tool ( Thread Incerter ) a painted P clamps where i can. Left me camera over in the shed..... Update sooooon

OK back in action.... Open Photo Bucket IE. Open Comanche Club in Fire Fox  A few pic of the Alternator & Tensioner bracket and fine piece of machine work a one of. Had my heater hose ports tapped to take fittings, need the hoses on the other side of the engine.

98-02 Camaro Power Steering Pump
COFFMAN replied to COFFMAN's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
This belt drive has been a major head banger apart from the water pump it is all custom. The LS engine was introduced in the Holden Commodore in 1998-99 with very little to nil changes in belt spacing. Our JY have no cool US iron sitting in them...lol
