  1. That Challenger is Awesome.
  2. The XJ pump will fit and can be aligned, but due to the pump being rotated 90 Deg The reservoir filler is on the side. I could have done a remote reservoir on XJ pump. Don't really have the spare room. Or could have moved the filler on the XJ reservoir. Messy and would still have plastic pulley & 5/8 shaft
  3. I would love to post pics been trying for a week, that's another story (&*%$@ P/B The one issue I don't have is alignment, or should I say won't be to correct. I am using truck belt spacing. The ICI Billet bracket has a spacer Approx. 30mm thick that I can machine down. While playing around with the XJ pump and bracket, the spacer is to thick and I've been using washers to get alignment. When the Camaro pump and pulley is fitted the spacer will be machined for correct alignment. I,m keen for after market pulley so I can remove the pump without removing the pulley. As you pic shows no holes in original pulley. I was also suspect the offset on the XJ & Camaro pulley to be different, as I should not have to adjust spacer with Camaro pulley. The ICI Billet + Camaro Pump = Truck Belt Spacing. But I expect to dial in belt alignment. Thanks
  4. We to have the Amber turn signal issue, but I think we can use Orange globes in a clear lens. i.e reverse light. This is what I'll do if I haven't found the right solution before registration time comes.
  5. The latest.... Well ordered me pump approx. 1.30pm Friday my time. It arrived a my door step at 7.55pm Monday morning Unbelievable on ya FedEx  As previous stated I still had Pulley issues as in I don't have one. AND MY DREAM of the XJ reservoir won't fit the Camaro Pump, close but no cigar. So now ordering a pulley, trying to get details on the pulley shaft Dia should be 3/4in ?? The XJ pulley is OD is Approx. 137mm. I suspect the after market Camaro unit ( Turnone ) would be of a slightly larger diameter spinning my pump slower. What sort of headaches should I expect if I can't get a pulley of the same Dia as the XJ. Thanks
  6. Welcome, a pretty clean truck you have, mine also had the red interior. never fell in love but it dose have a cool factor....lol
  7. Ok, this is why I was trying to buy a complete P/S pump.. To remove and replace the plastic pulley could have always went south. IF the shaft dia where the same, it appears they are not. Having this in the back of my mind my initial intension are to fit the Camaro reservoir to the XJ pump ( should be correct fit ?? ) which is mated to the XJ steering box.. So I can get this sucker to turn key. Source the correct pulley to the new pump in due time... hence why a complete unit was the go. Thanks for the input fellows..
  8. LOL , I'll catch ya up on TN soon and talk some smack in the chat room. Good to se ya seen the light. Didn't one of ya other mates buy a Comanche a while back, I think he started a build on here.

  14. Well I aint blown that many brain cell away since the last time I used Crap Bucket. Although my project has had some testing times.....This is doing my head in..............
  15. OK, Here we fookin go again...!!!! trying to upload/download photos from photo bucket to Comanche club & life is just a F?***K. WHY is it every time I try to use P/B it $#!&s on me...
  16. Well and truly over time for a update.... The project had stalled for some time as sorting out the accessories drive has been one major head banger...lol So I will try and explain where I'm at. The alternator needed to be moved from ( LOOKING AT THE FRONT OF THE MOTOR ) lower right hand side to upper left hand side. The A/C compressor from lower left to lower right hand side. Power steering to remain upper right mounted independently to head as per original. And this is where the fun beings... The belt tensioner After many phone call / email a TOP bloke named Zach, as he said " you know what you've wore me down and I'm going to do this for you " So after quit sometime my bracket to mount alternator with belt tensioner finally arrived. Awesome workmanship a quality product.
  17. OK..... so under drive ??? the belt will run under the pulley...? My belt will run over the top of the pulley..... Getting this belt drive assembly right has been one hell of a experience. Do you know if the pulley offset is the same between XJ & Camaro. Thanks........................
  18. Received notification that it has been shipped. The best I've done is 4 day from the US to outback Tasmania, not to bad at all. As I'm trying to cover all bases with this pump, and the more I think about it. Should be able to swap reservoir from new pump to XJ for initial set up start up.
  19. Thanks dudes, Rock auto was the one place I didn't try. Order placed Pump with reservoir.. no pulley. Doesn't look like they stock a pulley. Hopefully the XJ one will fit If I don't break it looks to be plastic. I had better update my build thread over the next couple of days..
  20. Hi all, I have a issue finding a 98-02 LS1 Camaro P/S pump. Which is I cannot find one, no Aussie GM vehicle used this pump. This is the pump I need for my LS1 conversion. The pump mounts in a different orientation to most GM pump, It has a on-board reservoir with the inlet to the pump being on the top. This pump used with the ICI Billet bracket that I have will take the pump out to Truck belt spacing. The original XJ pump looks to be identical, but when rotated to suit the bracket the reservoir ( filler cap ) is on the side. And will be Approx. 6mm out of alignment ( extra ). I say this because I was going to get the Camaro reservoir to mount to the XJ pump. But with belt spacing being out either the pulley offset is different between XJ & Camaro. The pump body's are different depths. Or the ICI billet bracket needs some machining. So to cover all bases I think it would be best to buy a Complete 98-02 P/S pump But cannot find anyone that sells a complete unit. Trying to eliminate the old wrong parts on the door step scenario if ordering parts separate. Can anyone give me a lead to a supplier of a Complete P/S pump. Thanks
  21. That is one neat Comanche.............. very cool
  22. Great job on the lights look good.I wonder if mnkyboy tails lights could be made to glow / flash amber for indicators were the clear section is....
  23. First ones look good.. flat but no amber. Second ones umm would not sit flat and taper in at the top. But could fit amber globe in clear lens for indicator.
  24. Awesome work dude  The power steering belt looks a bit funky ...Long might need a idler ?
  25. Has anyone seen the LED lights with amber for indicators.....
