  1. Use of the thread inserts, will be good for attaching the wiring.
  2. Only took a couple days back in action now  My new favourite tool, with going from left to right 88 to 99 i have a few threaded studs that are spot welded on for retaining wiring etc. The thread inserter dose the job nicely.
  3. Still sucks just a little harder :fs1: :fs2: :grrrr:
  4. Looking good 87Warrior, was hoping you would post soon with some wiring updates. The ones that go from the inside of the cab to rear... you know what I mean ... can you also shed some light on the rear window controls. I remember reading in one of your earlier posts don't cut the rear harness. If I could get P/B working I show you where I'm at. Look forward to following your build.
  5. Just tried again, I can copy on the IMG/URL on photo bucket but when I go back to Comanche Club and hit paste NOTHING get transferred. I now I'm a dumb F*&^ when I comes to these things & always had trouble with photo bucket but we always get there in the end.
  6. Hi, time for an update. can't upload photos !!!!!!! :dunno: :hmm:   :wall: :redX: :fs2: :soap box: :grrrr:
  7. Merry Christmas all, and have a great 2014. Well been hard out on the Comanche getting a bit done & TRYING to update my Thread. But every time I go to down load pictures from photo bucket it is such a head F% It usually takes a while, but not this time it won't play the game. oh well will try again later.
  8. Correct, as I bolted mine in yesterday . Deep reach sockets are also handy
  9. Thanks Earl, for a man with HOW many sweet Comanche's cool. If I could go back in time I would have went for the 6.2Lt. Ummmm well I suppose its not to late. Back to work this morning, now that sucks I will miss my Comanche. Hopefully I will have some cool parts waiting for me when I get home next month.
  10. It's a neat fit, R/H side especially L/H side heaps of room. Hope the steering shaft to steering box will clear the exhaust. LS1 engine wiring loom has been sent away to be mated to the XJ harness.
  11. Rear hump sump, engine mounts & exhaust fitted
  12. Give me LS1 a clean up ready for some attension
  13. Pleased you enjoyed your trip to Tassie, Not big on the water myself. But I do love scallops, crayfish, flathead and flake in the fry pan which is shark.

If it was steel, I'd be all over it ....
  15. Do I spy the 99+ window washer filler cut out in the L/H inner guard. Great work, should be a great build
  16. Hey Bob, all good things come to those who wait. It sucks that you've waited so long, hang in there dude....
  17. Welcome, heaps of help and ideas on CC enjoy
  18. Very happy for you, this is a top notch build. Will be following closely as I'm sure you will have heaps of detail & good idea's for all of use
  19. Will be having the Ls1 wiring loom mated to the XJ loom when home next, hopefully it won,t be to much of a head bannger for old mate. The other issue i have is i need to relocate the A/C compresser and alternator. The A/C needs to be moved to the R/H side where the alternator is now, as it will not fit beside the steering box. The alternator will be moved to to the top L/H side where the idler pulley is now. This will also put things back to where they are on the Aussie XJ's Can anyone help me with links for relocation kits for the Ls1, have found a few but all have the A/C on the left hand side. Hopeing for some good updates soon
  20. Ok time for a update, small but progress. Pulled the LS1 out of thr Statesman during me week off
  21. Updates i wish... How work #$#%^ with our projects, heading home in 9 day for a week off, hopefully i be able to strike a blow. Will probley start with interior as i brought some Dynamat last trip home. Would have loved to had my diffs sorted and ordered by now, but a little lost in what direction to take. So will continue on till i work it out. Hopefully the project i'm working on at the moment will end soon so i can get in some serious MJ time.
  22. Well Hornbrod, Its funny you should say as it turns out I use to race Go-Karts against Marcos. Whipped is @$$ on the odd occasion. Love to watch him these days. He was top of the tree in the Aussie V8 before NASCAR
