  1. yesterday the JP magazine i was reading had a M715 with 2 roll cages (one for the cab and one for the bed) and the bed had 5 or 6 seats in the back, it looked like a cool family offroad Jeep, tomorrow i will look for it and post a pic
  2. Someone came up with this a while ago, I kinda like it... Because it matches my WK :shake: It needs more ground clearance and bigger tires, It would look better with the 08-10 style WK headlights instead of the 05-07 style. but for a SRT-8 concept that would be awesome that happened to that Photoshopped J-10, that would be a good FSJ, lol
  3. after having problems finding a stock x member for my AX-15 i had to get an aftermarket option, it has a 1 inch drop but was suppose to keep the same ground clearance but now i can't use my factory TC skid plate
  4. yesterday i was on my back to work after lunch when i passed a VERY NICE Comanche, it appeared to be original paint and decals, that where in great condition. It also had the X emblem on it. I was wondering if all the Comanche Xs had a Diesel like automan2164's or if it was a trim package with the option. here is a pic i took after i was able to pull up the camera, had i not been in the turn lane i would have tracked it down, and give him a CC.com card... or offer to buy it... :dunno:
  5. that will be one of the first things i do after i get the tranny to stop leaking. on the plus side, after i removed my spare tire i was happy to see a nice clean rust free frame
  6. installed Solid Diff cover yesterday.
  7. installed Solid Diff cover yesterday.
  8. I wish i was driving through some mud this weekend. Need to replace my front axle first, and a few minor other problems...
  9. sounds like what dad's libby is doing. from what i read the TCU may need to be flashed or replaced.
  10. New SOLID Diff Cover, can you guess what i am going this weekend? EDIT: Spell check :shake:
  11. New Diff cover came in the mail yesterday
  12. :rotf: :rotf: very funny!
  13. Enjoy your decreased fuel mileage! Nature takes care of our AC needs up here! :D and down here you risk death without it...
  14. I almost had a Grand Cherokee SRT-8 for $5,000  Too bad i was and still am broke...
  15. As the title says, how does one gravity bleed a clutch?
  16. and the cards are coming via Snail mail? so i might should keep an eye out for it.
  17. There is no pressure on the petal, when I first got it back it was fine. The fluid level never went down any. The master and slave cylindars were both replaced along with the other clutch parts (or at least should have been). I know for a fact the mc and sc were replaced. I have tried bleeding the clutch without any luck. This tranny leaks oil just as bad as my last one, so that covers the burning smell. Normally I am all for doing the work myself, I just usually don't have the time, or tools to do it. Monday mom will be meeting her mechanic friend at my house to take a look at the Jeep and have his thoughts on the price to move again.
  18. my internal slave clutch is starting to  me off... I was doing some reading for the external swap, just want to make sure i have the right idea: External Bellhousing: ebay has one for a 94 wrangler comes with the fork flywhell: what will i need for sure?? do i keep the current one? I have an 88 with an 89 AX-15 /w internal slave clutch line: ? New Pilot bearing: ? anything else? --------- I swapped the D44 from dad's mj, its has been making a whining noise from the time we got the MJ. it starts around 50 MPH. what is the most probable cause? ------- thanks for the help. its only been 4 months sense the transmission was replaced and now my MJ is a lawn ordainment again. Monday I will be talking to another local Mechanic about getting it moving again, he was a friend of my mom's in high school so we trust him and he is willing to do the work at my house so i won't need to trailer the MJ to him. depending on the cost i may wait till i can do the external swap first.... this whole clutch issue is making me want to swap it to an AW4 i have... or would it be better in the long run to just have the mechanic swap the AW4 from my donor Jeep? :???: :dunno:
  19. LOL while dad was a police officer he worked with a guy who shot his foot once, and his tv another time. I treat ALL my guns as if they are loaded, especially the m870 and the sig.
  20. my uncle said that most gas tank/gauge setup will have 1 to 5 gallons of fuel as reserve, this way when and if you hit empty you still have the ability to get to a gas station. his old Camaro on the other hand, once it hit E you were out of gas. so if we have a 18 gallon tank and it says we are empty and it takes 14 gallons to fill up, then we should have a 4 gallon reserve... according to my uncle..
  21. I have known that concrete can explode if it gets hot enough, Moms fire pit i am not too worried about as she just does small fires for small sticks, leaves, and boxes. stuff that burns quick. my fire ring on the other hand, well i have nothing really to burn at my house so its just for looks and maybe to burn a box or two.
  22. i have not, but i did find out the low fuel light works
  23. Yea that's what I read too. Idk why but mine has a 14 gallon tank. There is no way I can get more that 14 gallons out of it. hmmmm, maybe the fuel gauge isn't reading properly or the float is stuck and you're not actually at empty when it says. :dunno: the tank on my 88 MJ does the same thing, only 14 gallons till empty.. but the gauge moves from full to empty throughout the use of one tank of gas.
