  1. Well I took Dad's Dana 44 and swapped it with my Dana 35. Just need to fix the leaking brakes and the swap will be complete.
  2. update, We can't seem to make up our mind on what we want to do with red, but due to lack of funds Red may be turned into a trailer.. Unless someone here wants to but it and the Donor.
  3. W couple weeks ago I moved the D44 from dad's MJ to mine, the parking brake was working fine for him. But now that its under my MJ its not working... I replaced all the brake hardware (springs, tension cable, and self adjuster), , adjusted the drum brakes, and adjusted the cable under the bed where it splits off to both brakes.... the parking brake lever is stiff to press, and will spring back kile it did in out F-250, but it seems to not be doing anything... the normal driving brake works fine.
  4. your from Pensacola, FL??? what paint shop did you use and where? I am from Grand Bay, AL,, thats about an hour to two hours from me. My uncle was wanting to get his 300ZX repainted at a good shop.

  7. thats what i thought when i saw it :D some time this year i am going to find and by one of those RC jeep Comanche's i keep seeing on here. Just when ever i look for the post i can't ever find it.
  8. Today I turn 21, but I had my party yesterday and was aksed to post some pics of my Jeep Cake. well unfortunately to get a 3d cake version of my MJ would have cost $175 so i told mom we can do a cheaper version. My First Jeep was a Red Power Toys CJ, so that is what we went with. Mom pulled out my First and Second birthday candles to use on the cake. Later when dad got home that night we watched some tv episodes on netflix. We had a good turn out, all the food was good, and everyone had a good time.
  9. Put the rear axle back on to dad's MJ and moved it by the camper. the brake lines are now leaking on it...
  10. awesome
  11. put the rear drive shaft back on my Blue Comanche, and moved it off the patio.

  13. it would sure amke a better article to read! but i still found this pretty interesting it was an older article and i must have read it wrong saying SOLID was the best... http://www.jpmagazine.com/techarticles/ ... ewall.html Josh Cool
  14. I know that Warn is a great brand, they just cost a pretty penny. I found a Viper Max MX9500 on eBay for less than $400. And I found several good reviews on other 4x4 sites, saying it is comparable to Warn. Has anyone used that brand? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 97.c0.m619
  15. What Class rating? Class III I am assuming?
  16. AT&T has a "micro Cell" it hooks up to your internet and it basically becomes a micro cell tower in your house. I don't know if other carrier has something similar but would be another option for your house.
  17. 2005 Grand Cherokee 2wd 16 city/ 20 highway @75 mph/ 4.7 V8/ can't remember gears/ 245/60R17 1988 Comanche 4x4 14 / 18 / 4.0 / 3.07 / 225/75R15 --Stock ? / ? / 4.0 / 3.55 / 31x10.5R15 --current, need to fix speedometer to get mileage :wrench:
  18. awesome!! Picked up the rear drive shaft form the local off road shop. $115.50 to shorten it, their sand blaster was broken so guess i will be cleaning and painting it.
  19. replaced the drum brake hardware.
  20. Close but no cigar. The MJ shackles are longer than the XJ shackles. You can replace the stock MJ shackles with XJ lift shackles but you will net zero to very little lift. Chevy drop shackles will net you about 2" of lift. Oftentimes they have multiple holes drilled to mount the spring so you can fine tune how much lift they will give you. i knew there was something i forgot about the xj shackles
  21. I was looking at those as well, they appear to be well made
  22. I swapped in the D-44 last weekend and i want a new Diff cover. What do you have for your D-44 and D30? I was thinking G2 covers for my MJ
  23. some chevy drop shackles form the parts store should do what you want. IIRC MJ springs are wider that XJ springs so the XJ shackle would not work
  24. i was thinking drive shafts.... my bad :thwak:
  25. they do fit as far as the U-joints go.. the D-44 shaft is shorter by about an inch or so. I had the D-35 and swapped in a D-44, used the D-35 shaft and it was just too long to use.
