  1. Its in!!! Front driveline will be done getting shortened and re-balanced about 2:00 today. ARB wired, switchs are in. Just mounting of pump, and installing driveline is left. Then a alignment of course.
  2. Ya, a buddy picked it up from me along with the extra shafts I had. Its taking the place of his LP 30 in his TJ now.
  3. New compressor, and the start of getting the 44 in. Dana 44 ready to go in.... Dana 30 out and retired | \/ New compressor and start of 44 going in. Pulled out adjuster on Acos to lower front about 1/2 inch. Should get the truck to a level stance finally.
  4. Thats funny because it reminds me of a WK. Especially from the doors forward. Thats because it is. I see Grand Cherokee, not Compass.
  5. There was a feature on the truck in a magazine a few years back. I can't remember the magazine or exactly how long ago. Maybe 5 years, rough guess. Maybe longer. The article was pretty in depth and did mention what he did with the bed. Thinking more....that magazine feature may have been 8 years ago.
  6. Well I've been busy lately so its been a slow go. The 44 is finally ready for install after sleeving the axle tubes and gusseting the C's, lower link mounts and sway bar mounts. Here is a couple pictures. I picked up my ARB compressor yesterday as well.
  7. Get an 04 WJ overland with HO 4.7v8. (straight axle still) Best Grand in my opinion except for the SRT8. Just my Opinion.
  8. Beautiful MJ!!
  9. Been pretty busy since returning from Moab trip. I should have some updates on the MJ shortly. Did put some fresh rubber on it. 35/12.5/15 Cooper STT's The axle tube sleeves are in and welded up on the 44. Just about done with all the brace peices for it. I really hope to have it in soon! Cheers, Jason.
  10. He is right. Its not a tall rig at all. I fit easly in my "normal" single door two car garage. I'll try and take a minute and measure it tomorrow.
  11. NEVER!! Must be nice not having to explain why your MJ needs this or that to your wife or girlfriend though.
  12. I completely understand your point of view on the cab having exo, I guess I don't understand all that tube over the front fenders and such. I will admit that done right a exo or interior cage can be made safe. Considering a comanche is framless I personally still feel that a interior cage tied into body (a pillers, and b piller, etc.) would be better considering your possibility of a high speed roll. My MJ will have exo over cab only disappearing into front fenders because I too feel the cab is to tight to have a internal cage (especially considering I have a full interior) Either way its only an opinion by me. The build is looking well done and will I'm sure be a strong and badass competition rig. I just can't stand exo's on front fenders so it simply ruins appeal for me from an asthetic point of view. I'm realizing you must feel about as cramped in that MJ as I do when I drive my buddy's 1st gen toyota. Those have a crazy tight interior. I do look forward to seeing the rig in person this year at KOH, I will be there and try to say "hi" Cheers, Jason
  13. Personally I wouldn't spend the $ on a stroker. I would do a 5.3 alum. GM motor. You can make it work with your gauges if you have a old interior or a 97+ swap. I have yet to meet a person including myself that has not had problems with there stroker motors. Seems no matter how well built and how much $ you put into it.....in the end you will put even more $ and time into keeping it running strong. I say a alum 5.3 cause its comprable power (to a 4.7 stoker) and 80lbs lighter.
  14. Cody had some lame excuse (had to work sunday or some bull$#!&...lol) but the rest of us went up to Evans and had a blast. There were over 15!!!! rigs in the group. Evans is so damn easy now with the improvments to its condition that have been happening. Its almost I-5. Only issues was a broken crossmember bolt breaking on Seths MJ and a broken t-case input shaft on a 4runner. Smooth day for that many rigs.
  15. I have to admit all the excitment I had for this build completely died with the exo cage. So excessive, and not the right way to go for a KOH rig of any chance of helping in the COG department at speed. I safer, and better cage would have been internal.
  16. .....Make that 3 MJ's now going. and and LJ as well.
  17. Hitting Evans creek next sunday if anyone is interested. I think we have two MJ's, a 1st gen Yota, 2nd gen Runner, 4dr JK, YJ and a TJ so far. Come on out . If interested pm me your number and I'll give you are meet up location in Lacey or let you know our arrival time for Evans.
  18. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you like were I'm taking it. I'll be adding some posts here shortly. Front 44 is almost ready for instal as well as new tires and wheels (Had one of the beadlocks break in half at the weld, there discontinued so I'll have to go with new wheels instead of replacing 1) Cheers, Jason
  19. ....oh and that tie rod scares the $#!& out of me!
  20. Ya, most people know that a D30 (HP!!) is good up to 33's well built, a D44 is good up to 37's well built...etc. etc. Sure makes the axle and steering look tiny.
  21. Pete copied it (second post) so you can read it there. oh...and wierd. I wonder if its still showing it since I've already been to that HTTP today or something.
  22. Drove it to work.
  23. Link still works for me!?!
