H3RESQ's Dream MJ, the build continues...

Thanks. Funny cause it seems a few on here really liked them polished. When I got them on I couldn't stand looking at it with them silver. Had to get them black immediatly. The wonders of peoples personal tastes. -
Haha, I used MSN instead of my usual start up engine......So forum was not a option, just homepage. Or, at least thats what I ended up at.

I can't remember the paint code off of the top of my head but, it's "Gunmetal" under the dupont chromabase paint, it's the same light blue they used on cherokees from 97'-98' I had the green version of that shade on my XJ. Not sure you know or remember it (there pretty rare, fewer than the blue). Always wanted that blue.

Seems the homepage could be updated. Its a 2004 MJ run. Just my 2cents. Cheers, Jason

Ya, had a Atlas 3.8 in my WJ and loved it. Atlas was the original plan, just got into tera pretty cheap in time for Moab so went with it. -

Have you had a chance to open it up and see what happened? Willy Ya, it was the planetary. Ordered new and will put it back together. Are you going to continue to run the Tera low case, or sell it? :hmm: I hope you took pictures. Documentation of carnage is always welcome. Willy I have yet to decide what I'm gonna do. I will fix and either sale and buy Atlas, or put back in, or add a 231 double kit to it, or ..... I'll take a picture, not much to see, just a couple of the welds broke on planetary case that holds on gears. Doesn't look bad. -

Heading to Portland area tomorrow to pick up my D44 for the front of MJ. I ended up selling the one I had right before Moab because I found this one already set up with ARB and 4.88 gears and brackets to bolt right in along with Chromo's and the 5 on 4.5 pattern. So just to easy a swap into MJ over other axle. Only downfall.....Low pinion. Oh the sacrafices we make to simplify our lives. Hope to have it in by Monday night. -
Would not have been able to tell you if I wanted to. The only thing we knew was where we were starting. Meaning they told us what hotel to meet at and that was pretty much it. That is one of the main points of the UA...You pretty much just have to follow Pewe where ever he goes and every day is a surprise trip. One of the many reasons it is the "Ultimate Adventure". You can always buy the DVD and see the whole trip in the comfort of your LazyBoy. I doubt he would remember but I meet him(Pewe) at a offroad expo once, that day and evening became the Ultimate Adventure that ended at Hard Rock cafe with a Jagermiester bottle in my back pocket that was shared with non other than Shannon Cambell (and his wife). Sadly I don't remeber how the night ended and the next day sucked(hungover) at the expo. I have no self control around semi-famous people. True highlight of that trip...meeting Ivan Stewart!!

Ya, no $#!& she didn't like it. I'm suprised she didn't think you were ghey. She must have meet you before she saw your Miata. ......unless of course it was a MONSTER MIATA. Then it would be ok. We tease my buddy all the time cause he has Miata seats in his Toyota... (This post is meant to be completely humorous and not intended to offend anyone with a Miata ghey or straight)

Ya, I got the xj currie anti-rock. It was an easy instal and made a great difference. The setup was just to soft and wishy washy side to side with the stock bar disconnected. Its great offroad and on. I'm digging it. Here are a couple more pics from Rusty Nail (no left turn) -
