  1. Hey guys, long time no see. I know this is asking a lot, since I've been gone for so long, but thanks to laziness and sheer lack of time, can anyone get me step by step directions on the correct procedure for changing my calipers. pads, and rotors. I let my Alldata subscription run out. It's been so long since I've touched the Comanche, I think I might have forgotten how to take the wheels off :rotfl2: Seriously though, any special advice would be highly appreciated.
  2. I think Jeepco was doing something like this. Look in the projects section under his 3800 thread.
  3. Did you try another TPS yet?
  4. What did you clean the TB with and was it still bolted to the truck when you did it or did you remove it when you cleaned it. Stupid question but I've done this before. Did you plug the TPS and the IAC back in? Is the hose to the MAP sensor connected well to the TB? In your futzing around did you accidently disconnect something? I've done that before too. Check all your vaccum lines. Go over everything real well to see if you bopped something with your elbow you shouldn't have. Tip....Do it in broad daylight and when your not drinking. Believe me I know.
  5. Oh crap.You noticed :rotfl2:
  6. Chico if you like rum try Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 Anos. The best rum I've ever had. Here's a little background http://www.rumdood.com/archive/2007/10/ ... nario.aspx Zaya is also good. thanks fiat. that's now on my christmas wish list.
  7. Yeah, but you're only partially right. The next beer county is now MY county; the first license was granted to sell beer here was Tuesday; I was there on Wednesday stocking up for Thanksgiving. A TRUE reason to give thanks this year. Cut 10 miles off my normal speed runs to the next county. :D And the leeches have retired for the winter under the mud, no danger there. Black Friday, back on topic. Walmart employee trampled to death in Long Island by rabid shoppers. Damn sick matey........... That's reason enough for me to celebrate. News Flash...... In celebration of Hornbrod's victory, I've decided to try a new rum. Let me be the first to say CRUZAN ESTATE DARK RUM made in ST CROIX is fantastic. I reccomend it to everyone. This just in........Definately sad about that employee, but it has nothing to do with Wal-Mart or Black Friday. That's just Long Island in general.
  8. I'm done with the heato problem. I'm sticking in a brand new engine when I finally come up with the money or this one blows up.
  9. That would definately ruin the pie. I can probably half cook the pie, put it on some kind of tray, freeze, wrap and Fed Ex it. I got a lot of people that buy it that way the day before and leave early the next morning to go up to the Penn State games. They keep doing it so I guess it works. And you know if i drove down there we'd get absolutely nothing done, drink all the HL in the next county and probably pass out in some small fishing boat out on the lake only to wake up early in the morning covered in blood sucking leeches :rotfl2:
  10. Chico, you get me two pies to California in edible condition for less than $30 and you just earned yourself a hell of a tip my friend... Actually I'd rather get some "real" Cheese-steaks...you wouldn't believe what they try to pass off out here... I have to stop at Fed Ex every Thursday now to send my collections out to Jersey. I'll see what they say about prices. What kind of cheesesteak? Philly, California, or Italian?
  11. :clapping:

    bingo!!!!!!!!!

I really don't know why you guys have to make fun of us rednecks all the time. Edit: I can't go to Wal-Mart because of the "Made in China" thing.
  13. Two Large cheese pizzas, today only, for only $17.99 plus tax, plus delivery fee, plus fee for using your credit card, plus, fee for calling me and not knowing what you want when you call, plus fee for being dumb and not knowing your adress or phone number, plus fee for not really liking you or your political or racial opinions, plus...I'm sure I can come up with some extra fees when I think about it, brings your bloody total up to $134 dollars and .62 cents. Happy BLACK FRIDAY Everybody :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
  14. Or it could be the "Chico syndrome" where evrything is brand new and fine and it just does this normally. You've described my exact situation to a tee and everything related to the cooling system is brand new. I've kept the needle at around 210* by running the aux fan fulltime and keeping the HVAC system on full blast all the time. Good luck fixing it and let me know if you come up with anything new.
  15. High jack 2 posts further. I changed my speedo gear to whatever BLHTAZ and Eagle told me. I can't remember the tooth count right now. I got it from BLHTAZ when he worked at the dealer. And I drive like a grandma's grandma :rotfl2:
  16. I'm sure I have issues :rotfl2: Maybe it's because I'm running 31's on 3.55 gears. Maybe it's because my engine has 220,000 on it. Maybe it's because I rarely run it on the highway. Who knows man. I gave up on throwing parts at it. Oh and sorry bout the thread high-jack dude.
  17. Yes, but I get 1 MPG better (from 12 to 13) if I keep the temp at 210* instead of 225* :rotfl2:
  18. I know on mine the electric fan would only turn on if the temp at the sensor at the radiator got to 220 or 230*. I know it turns on also when you turn the AC on. To test the fan to see if it worked I jumpered it directly to the battery for a second (I know not smart) but I needed to make sure the fan motor actually worked because it would never turn on when it was cold out. Come summertime it actually started turning on for a couple of minutes when my temp gauge would reach a little below the 3/4 line. I needed it to come on earlier to keep my temp down at 210* so I put it on a manual relayed switch in the cab so I could run it full time. Hope that helps a little. The sensor for the fan is screwed in on the driver's side of the radiator.

    New Dad

  20. Sorry Akula I don't but I think Brent put up an electrical manual up in the DIY forum. I can get you a pic of where mine is but it won't be clear. I hooked up my electric fan up to a relayed switch and disconnected that sensor. The reason it might only come on with the AC is because your engine isn't hot enough to need it. Mine only turned on after my temp gauge was close to the 3 quarter mark. I put it on a switch to run it full time. Let me know if you want a pic of that area and I'll get you one.
  21. When you speak of an aux fan, are you talking about the electric fan on the right side of the radiator? mine is hard-wired into a harness that runs thru the firewall to the ECM. (it appears to be a custom pin change to the ECM). If not that fan, where would anothe be mounted? Thanks Yup the electric fan.
  22. Did you check all your ground wires? Battery to block, block to back of head, and head to firewall. If they're old, replace em. Oh wait you have a 2.5 so I'm not sure where the locations are, but check your grounds anyway.
  23. The switch in the radiator is actually to turn on your aux fan when it hits a certain temp. it's connected to a relay on the inner driver's side fender well. Of course if you have no aux fan it won't be there. The two temp senders that go in the back of the head look exactly alike. You just have to make sure you get the one for full gauges. I bought them at NAPA and Autozone. Price was 10-15 dollars.
  24. I'm still with IAC. I had the exact same symptons on a 96 VW. Changed out IAC. Problem fixed.
