  1. Did the ruby retainer or the 8.8 backing plate bolt right on or did you have to re-drill either to match the 44 bolt pattern?
  2. It doesn't look like the rubicon retainer plate bolt pattern matches the xj d44 backing plate bolt pattern.
  3. I just liked the 8.8 swap because the the 8.8 symmetrical bolt pattern is almost identical to the pre 91 d44 bolt pattern. The I was thinking the ZJ d35 and d44a bolt pattern was asymmetrical like the newer, post 91 d44's.
  4. Pretty good write up here using 8.8 brakes.
  5. For replacements parts I've had good luck with Advance Auto and Rock Auto.
  6. The lift only. 10k

  9. I just got this Bendpak model from Garage Equipment supply On ebay, They will entertain offers on their listings. I got mine for $2450 with free shipping. Ordered it last Wednesday and showed up Monday, cross country. Great place to do business with.
  10. Does the bed look that good on the other side as well? That appears nicer than most of the Manche's I see on the road. :fs2: Did you pull the rear sliding glass or latch?

  12. You probably have one of the rare 4.0l motors that leak from the rear main seal or valve cover gasket. 1 in a million chance that the oil filter adapter o-ring could be leaking too. :smart: Just messing around but every 4.0 I've ever seen leaked at the rear main, including my 04 TJ when it had 3,500 miles. Just one of the very few draw backs to the 4 liter.
  13. The Smittybilt and Rugged Ridge look almost identical, probably made in the same factory. I've heard a lot more feedback on the Smitttybilt so between the two, I'd probably go with that since the price is the same.
  14. 1988, Comanche, Pioneer Big Ton, 4wd, LWB Drive Train: 4.0L/BA10/NP231/30/44/230,000 miles Build date: 1988 Location: Henderson NC Condition: Fully functional driver, basically stock Notes:Dk Blue/Gray interior, vinyl bench seat, factory skid plates, Big Ton package, Moab rims/ 31 MTR's, 2"-3" lift Current owner: John Stevenson
  15. Congratulations, an accomplishment to be proud of for sure.
  16. If you can't figure it out give Chase or Andy a call. ECGS is right here in Raleigh and can handle anything drive train or suspension related. Great customer service too. Good luck with the truck.

  22. /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ The definition of a 4.0L. That would be my choice.
  23. I've done it before as well but wasn't gonna argue about it.
  24. Looks like the LCA'a are bottomed out. Also, jack up one side of the axle and step on the low side. The spring will usually come out then.
