  1. If you can spare and repair the 10 slot grille, that's what I would do. We found one in a junk yard and are glad we picked it up.
  2. I like this and will probably buy a MJ and XJ sticker soon. Not having CJ seems like a serious omission though!

Nice find! I look forward to seeing more pictures. Looks in great condition from the angle you took the picture.
  4. Glad to hear it!
  5. Sheesh, we bought this for $24 from Amazon in November 2022. Like you say, $49 now https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C7ZZJ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  6. Interesting to see where the wiring harness for the headlights is supposed to be. Ours just lays on top of the bumper, probably as a result of all of the clips being broken.
  7. Interesting. Now we know. We recently replaced the headlight wiring harness (twice) on our MJ and had this plug too thinking it was fog lights too based on it's location. The plug just dangles unused every time we've seen it.
  8. Interesting. Talk about moving the MJ to the 21st Century!
  9. First day of December in Idaho
  10. Seen in @eaglescout526's neighborhood...
  11. J, Z, L, and A were hard at work before turkey yesterday and got a lot done on four of our vehicles. '89 MJ: New ignition cylinder. The key was stuck in "on" position. Now the key works and the turn signals started working too! '95 XJ: New blower motor and blower motor resistor '94 XJ: New front shocks '01 Crown Victoria: New front shocks Not bad for half a day of work! Made quick work of a pile of parts. Black Friday update: '94 XJ: New radiator. Fixing it up to sell it to acquire an '86 CJ-7 '89 MJ: Finished putting front clip back on after replacing front lights wiring harness.
  12. For the right price (and idea for an alternative) I guess you could acquire the one off our '94 XJ
  13. Brings back memories of when Jared (J in JZLA) got a mouthful of stinky bright orange gasoline when siphoning 5+ year old fuel out when we brought the MJ home. Never seen someone wash their own mouth out with soap before that.
  14. That's pretty cool. Good solution!
  15. Thanks @ghetdjc320 and @schardein. I'm sure damage to that connector will be obvious when we replace the blower motor. Saw a melted blower motor connector when the blower motor on our Ford Expedition went out this summer, so we've seen it before... Pictures from the Ford:
  16. One of those managed to follow us home too
  17. Good advice. The blower motor has been going for a while and we have a new one, just haven't gotten around to putting it in. But, on a 28 year old vehicle it's tough to say that anything wore out prematurely. Actually have two new blower motors to put into both XJs. We'll replace the blower resistor too when we put in the new blower motor.
  18. Disclaimer up front, this is on our '95 XJ, but same hardware as the MJ. Noticed the last couple times driving it that the blower is off unless in the switch is in the highest position. Is this indicative of the switch going bad? If so, replacing the switch may be a good time to also fix the non-working oil pressure gauge and burnt out backlighting bulb.
  19. Smart man
  20. Glad it sounds like an easy fix.
  21. This is not quite the same, but related. We are planning to put self adhesive 1/4" rubber thick flooring (that we got for free) in our MJ and we'd like to level the floor prior laying down the flooring so the flooring adheres everywhere. Our objective is not necessarily padding or even sound deadening or heat reflection (although those would be nice). Would the recommendations be the same?
  22. We pulled the BA10/5 our of our MJ and still have it and it's shifter. We may have what you need.
  23. You must be a lot faster than we are. Replacing the oil pump was an all weekend job by itself. Dropping the front axle to get the oil pan off (and then scrubbing and repainting the outside of the oil pan) was a lot of work.
