  1. I’m usually not a fan of toppers but I think it looks great on your truck. I’d keep it on
  2. Welcome and good looking truck ( jealous of the turbine wheels) I’m pretty new to this club myself. But reading old threads and talking with the members you’re in good hands. Check out cruiser 54 tips list should help you a lot. Good luck
  3. Damn I was just thinking the same thing. Love the CJ’s grills
  4. Now I feel a little ashamed of saying I’ve been taking my JK chief to the topless event for our J.E.E.P (Jeep Enthusiasts of Eastern Pa) club in Allentown for the last 4 years, I have a good time with it, we do a long ride around the area and end up at a winery, but this is the first year I can bring a MJ. I tried the link but would not open for me. Where is your event held, I may think outside the box this year and come to your event instead if not to terrible far. Thanks

    Giveaway MJ

Yeah some things like keeping the Renault trans. Don’t own one but hearing all the stories on here would be better to get rid of it while u had the engine out. And his years are off on the builds. Think he was talking about the Cherokee’s

    Giveaway MJ

Thought I saw this on the MJ video thread but could not find it again. Worth a look at even though he’s not a die hard Comanche man
  7. Ever since I bought my first one 2 years ago try and look for them. Saw two driving and one at an inspection station. Today I went to my garage to get appointment for inspection and owner said that’s weird got another Comanche here. Took pics and tried for the vin. Last of it turned out ok but not first ones. Can Anyone decipher or have the spread sheet #’s so I can see if he has it on Comanche Club
  8. I agree they are good looking. Love the roll bar (sports bar) just got mine in the mail added it to fridge in place of the old one. So Pete was wondering if you had/want the Olympic brochure I would gladly mail one to you for appreciation for the magnets let me know. Had to get the whole lot so got some for sale. Any others 2$ and shipping I’ll be at bantam and Pa Jeeps and will have them there too
  9. Yeah Frank I lived in your time too, first cars only had lap belts in a 300 + hp challenger. Didn’t stop me then won’t stop me now. If you ever rode a bike on the road u become a very defensive driver. U see someone at a red light u don’t assume he won’t pull out in front of u. After time u become very aware of your surroundings
  10. Got me worried that with those prices when I go to a Jeep event I’ll come out to the parking lot and the tailgate will be missing. Pretty easy to grab off. Was thinking a locking hitch pin and fab something to stop it from opening
  11. Amen to that Pete
  12. In the 70’s getting your first car started about a year and half before you turned 16. The driving age in Pa.at that time. A guy in town had lots of Jeeps and Willy’s. One day he put up a 69 cj I kept going back looking and dreaming of owning it. Kept looking in the JC Whitman catalogue thinking of what parts and accessories to buy for it. Then my older sister’s boyfriend said he’d take a look at it for me and said Dale you don’t have enough money or know how so it never came to be. Got my first car and it was a 73 challenger. Still never gave up on Jeeps though. Buddy had one and had a great time in it. Then when I needed a pickup there was a Jeep honcho blue with the big gold billboard for sale and loved that. Just didn’t like the price difference from a beat up old dodge truck which I bought instead. Then I was a dodge guy. Was thrilled that Chrysler bought them in the late 80’s . I would like to know how many older Jeeps I’d of had if I would have bought that first one. Now got 3 wranglers, 2 Cherokees and 2 mjs. Here are some pics of my first passion
  13. Thanks for letting me know you got my check. Can’t wait to see and use it on the Comanche. Thanks for doing this greatly needed service

  14. I saw someone mentioned the 88 Olympic edition. Got one just recently and doing some homework on them. The brochures I got said all three wrangler, Cherokee, & Comanche came with a gold strip and olym. Rings. Pretty sure the strip is a decal

    Bench seat

I got a 86 ugly blue cloth bench seat. Not ripped up but had parts on it for a while, which l would think will come out in time, all brackets are on it, one hole on one bracket rusted off but all other in good shape was thinking $50 + shipping or half way pickup. Daughter lives in Philly, pm me for my phone # if still interested
  16. Yeah I have an Exco-worker that said exact same thing. We better watch it or we’ll have to give up the Comanche name and make it Ohio
  17. My wife’s the same way she was a redskins fan too until they had to change their name
  18. Living only a hour and a 1/2 away and my daughter living in that crazy city GO EAGLES going down to watch it with her in a sports bar she knows. If they win going to be even more crazy
  19. Really really hate thief’s my daughter lives in Philly and they stole her liberty right off the street. Police ask all the same questions did you lock it give permission to let any one use it like it was your fault it was gone. Then the kick in the pants was 7 months later police get a hold of her not to tell her they found the stolen car but to give her a parking ticket for uninspected vehicle she got it back with only cat. converter gone. Hope you’re successful getting yours back but knowing how rare Comanche’s are think they took it for more profitable reasons. Wish you all the luck buddy. Think they should go back to cut off your hand if you get caught stealing might make you time about not like now with the slap on the wrist
  20. I’m very interested in one sent you a pm
  21. I was going to ask on the pub page if anybody knows where to get a class 3 hitch.  Did a search and found your thread from 2015.  Was wondering if you still make pieces for a hitch

I just got the hitch today. You were even ahead of schedule. Pleasantly surprised to see it on the front porch.  Can’t wait to put it on.  Thank you very much and good luck in your endeavors

  22. Well when you’re 60+ too many, in the late 70’s and 80’s I ran and collected challengers and cuda’s when I got my first truck was looking at a honcho but a used dodge was much cheaper only if I would have bought that instead, collecting cars was/is like potato chips just can’t have one got 2 MJ’s, 2 door & 90 parts XJ, 99 TJ, chief edition JK, and my wife’s JL and 19 Cherokee

    Goodbye AMC HQ

I was wondering since the both of you worked there did you know about the launch coins or was that just the assembly plant
  24. Funny how things work out, I’ve been working on a 86 4X4 MJ slowly this last year, reading the logs in CC make me wanting to drive the MJ more and more but the way I’m going with working on it might be too long to wait, so was looking around for a driving one to fill the void. Saw a few here and there but never got any where with them. Bored one Sunday I thought look at Craig’s list and there it was. A stock MJ and an Olympic edition and only went up 1/2 hour before I looked. What are the chances. Then I remembered seeing the Collin Brothers MJ Olympic edition on u-tube when I bought the 4X4MJ then looked up info on the edition. Found out a lot not to mention CB’s was not an Olympic one. So here’s the truck and collectible items
