Give me a shout a little before time when you think you'll go again. Surely ill go before then but I'd probably love to go again... Back to the thread, I went on and decided I want to do a different paint scheme. It'll wait until I remove the bed but it'll seriously be 80s trophy truck. Anyway since I had the bumper off for the coolers, I painted it white.

Unfortunately not. A couple of the other main guys going broke a bunch of stuff at superlift two weeks before the run. Only a few people were still willing to go but don't run the hard stuff. So I sat it out. Then about two weeks later a few more guys (same club, same guys in other people's jeeps) went down to a newer park past hawk pride orv in Alabama (stony lonesome). Again though those jeeps were doing easy stuff mainly, so I sat that out too. Two new parks i could of went to but I'm not into riding gravel roads or hitting one off camber spot all day... There are several more trips this coming month,,,,, none at smorr... I may just go alone and hope for the best LOL

Installed a jy steering box. No more leaking! Also went on and installed a new trans cooler and did the power steering cooler as well..

Thanks. One of those things you know it probably is but there's that slight uncertainty. Ill give a look for the zj one. Does it matter V6, V8?

Are there any differences in new vs old boxes? Can I grab one from a 98 xj and bolt it right up? Including using my original hoses and pump.

I hate and I mean hate, people who do that. It seems like they already have a plan to end it at some point. it's like, you love me but not enough to take my name in marriage. I don't care if her first name sounds like $#!& with my last name. Your taking it or we are not getting hitched. I don't plan to get married anyway. It's just a waste of money. If you love someone and want to spend your lives together, you shouldn't have to put a label on it.

I just realized my half doors never made it into my build thread. Here's one I just painted to match the new scheme.. Can't wait to wheel with them on there again. Doorless is great but gets old with no arm rest after a day or so... Plus I only loose very little (if any really) visibility...

No real updates (or pics)... I did get the ignition switch in and it solved the starting issue. Welded in the pass side rocker, made end caps and angled all the ends My steering box is leaking like crazy but I'm headed to the jy to snag one. I've got hoses and a cooler to rig up a steering fluid cooler for $#!&s and giggles.. Also broke out the half doors I made years ago. They were still painted green! Lol. I plan to run them a lot this year so they're getting painted

Here's some advice, don't be complete moron by thinking it just a few quick tacks and not throw down the mask. A buddy is suffering from welders flash right now and it's no joke. He only did a few quick welds and it got him good.

I take it this comes from experience, not just an opinion..? There several of us here who run rk stuff and IMO, I wouldn't of went another route. It's stout as hell and performs flawlessly.

I was about to say what he said ^^^ because he told me about it lol I used two 2x4s with holes drilled to mount them to the first two sets of bed mounting points. Then used ratchet straps to hold the gas tank in and exhaust up.

Welp my key got stuck in the "run" position. I had to fight with it a good while. I know my cylinder is good, so I dove in for the ignition switch.. It's out and throwing in a new one tomorrow. Hopefully it'll work.

You've been around awhile, you know the number one rule. Pull those carpets up! Lol better now than later I suppose. Can't wait to see it go under the knife

I've seen two 4.56 and two 4.88s in a 30 all bust the ring gear and the pinion was fine. Ill agree it is freak like small but it will still stand up to some punishment..... For awhile at least lol

I'm running 4.88s and I just got mine from 4wd since we get the discount and there's always free shipping. Make sure to get the master install kit as well.

It worked after you changed the settings but YouTube is always the way to go. It looked good. Hopefully ill have a video coming up it soon
