  1. nothing wrong with using used gears at all but what i want to know is, what gears for the 30 cost 500 bucks..... i went with G2 gears and it was 150 with free shipping. not the best gears out there but with the people in my local club beating the $#!& out of them, they'll be fine. i also went 8.25. no 8.8 tube issues or weak carrier
  2. i guess its your "bug out" vehicle . :MJ 1: . :laughin:
  3. OBA. For what? Are you going take up over landing or something? Air locker? You do very little wheeling, crawling, anything but your truck is set up for it. Explain... Lol
  4. Hell yeah. My kind of wheelin' What's up with the helmets though?
  5. install kit for the rear gears and ball joints showed up  still waiting to hear back on my front axle. the g2 gear set i bought was screwed up somehow but 4WP covered it. new set should be in this week and hopefully get the front back in, so the rear can come out. though i think ill give it a shot at regearing it instead of someone else doing for me.

    Later Guys...

ridiculous. if you think this forum is jacked up, trying viewing some others. this forum to me is by far the tamest forum out there. so have fun with whatever you do but when your done flushing out your vag, come on back! :rotfl2: JKJK! ;)
  7. Do you still plan on putting on the moonvisor?
  8. We had lots of sleet so my packages were also delayed. So much for my plans...
  9. mine just went out as well. thanks for the tips guys
  10. got another piece to the puzzle today :)
  11. Finally got my new krawler joints in and some hockey pucks for the el cheapo bump stops
  12. Of course they always offer 5% off, so does that make them full of $#!& on that email lol
  13. ive never seen a JY Mj with a roll bar or brackets. only Mj with a roll bar ive ever seen in person was at a car lot they wanted 6500 for.....
  14. since the MJ is in a nice warm garage, ive been looking for anything to do just to work on it. decided since the front axle isnt back yet, i could start something on the rear. so i shaved the 8.25 up a good bit. mainly got rid of that pesky lip hanging down and rounded the front side a little. no pic but I'm sure you can figure out what it looks like it was just the primer white and regular (or maybe gloss) sun yellow. nothing special about them.
  15. ill guess 100 to 120 bucks. take or give. plus cash for masking tape. i went all out for it. almost like actually painting the truck. I'm sure you could go a lot cheaper. on a build thread note, just dropped off the new front axle for welding and gears
  16. That high dollar spray paint (krylon) and a good bit of sanding. I can't even remember how many cans I went through. It was sand, wash, paint, sand, wash, paint, sand, wash. Way overkill but that's how I like it. You know, more work than its worth LOL
  17. pass. pretty soon every car/truck out there will just be a glob of bull$#!& design.
  18. This isn't the first one I've seen where the stinger saved a roll over. IIRC there was one in petersens worst stuck. Stingers do have a place in the offroad world for a reason. Those ice trucks in the South Pole or where ever have them in the event they run off in an ice crack I've had two experiences where I bet a stinger would have come into play if someone hadnt of hung on the bed of my MJ. Definately a change the underwear moment LOL
  19. had to get the locker out of the current axle, so i figured id just rip that mother @#$%er down.. i have new joints for the long arms coming but i had the bushings. slapped those hoes in. also pulled the front driveshaft as well. half @$$ broke it down but called it a night. covered lots of little things but doesnt seem like it in the greater scheme
  20. or why not just a pain in the @$$ :D
  21. i run my 33s at 10 and its perfect. id suggest running 8 next time you go out. if 10 was ridiculous, 8 should be out of this world. however each tire is different but id still try 8 ;)
  22. i can vouch for that. ive busted several and my current set both are cracked but still in one piece. with the supply running out, i think i might go LEDs when my back up sets are gone too
  23. finally got my gussets in. sheesh...took awhile.. here's a pic for you guys or anyone searching the net on these. Artec gussets. they are meant for a TJ but will work on Mj, Xj etc etc. you will have to do a little grinding on the top brackets but not much. if i had my tools here at home they'd be on but you can only do so much with a bench grinder. so in the pic they are not on completely. just thrown on for reference. the bottom brackets fit perfect. no issues what so ever.
  24. Nice work
  25. just make one exactly like the old style front JCR ones but adjust for the rear thats what i eventually plan on doing but its down the list a ways....
