  1. I hear these things and I get sad that I chopped up my truck but then I look at it and love everything I have done to that truck and don't regret a thing. A chopped comanche is better than a crushed comanche. I like to thing I am a very good owner of my truck and am giving it new life.
  2. true trac is used and I am trying to change gears. I also meant to say I messed up the cage on one of those bearings
  3. Used a regular bearing puller to no avail :/ managed to mess up the race however
  4. I was under the impression the tool in the link is called a clamshell puller.
  5. spreader plus crowbar on a ring gear bolt and wrapping some webbing around it and using a slide hammer. I can't get the stupid bearings off the true trac no one rents out a clamshell puller
  6. waggy yes 1988. built the spreader and its not working. this isnt supposed to be the hard part
  7. yes it was. i bought some stuff to make a case spreader after work last night so we will see how that goes also is there supposed to be an outer axle seal on the front? It looks to me like I might be missing one but also the axle shaft doesnt have a smooth part where it looks like one might slide onto

  10. got the axle shafts slide out and the carrier unbolted but I can't seem to get the carrier out. shouldnt it just slide out? I have tried the crowbar behind it trick

  14. looked under the bearings and they where right there uggh. It didnt however come with a new crush sleeve
  15. ordered the richmond rebuild and it didnt come with axle seals or shims. I would like to at least get the rear set up this weekend because I have 5 days off from school what is the chance the previously set up 4.27s shims will work? I am ordering a minor install kit

  17. POR15 is great and definetely go with some sort of sound dampening
  18. you definitely should you can always put the carpet back in
  19. my floorboards are also rock solid from the bottom but have almost cancer on the top. treat it before it gets worse. Great truck really scored with that 44!
