This could be interesting. https://hiwirebrewing.com/specialty-beers/10w-40-imperial-stout/

So... There is an issue with the foundation and the seller is refusing to have a structural engineer look at it. He's a contractor so he probably knows it's going to cost him plenty to fix it. It may be time to pull the eject handle on this one...

Trouble with that attitude is that you may win battles but in the end those battles could cost you the war. An all-or-nothing approach can push the middle-of-the-road voters towards you getting nothing. Reagan knew how to compromise. He knew how to reach across the aisle as a way to get things done. He was willing to sacrifice some things as a way to negotiate on the more important things. What happened to that?

One thing to consider about finding tires that fit: How are you going to use the Jeep? If you stick to on-road driving and never go off road, you can consider slightly bigger tires. 32's with a 3" lift can fit. If you plan on going off road and plan on disconnecting your front swaybar, you want a little smaller on the tire. The reason being that when you disconnect the swaybar and go off road, the axle can move a lot. And a tire that never rubs on the road may rub once you're really flexing the suspension. 31's will generally fit with a 3" suspension and only slight rubbing maybe, depending on the wheel the tire is mounted to (backspacing/offset matters). 32's will fit but will probably rub in a few places when you flex. You can leave the swaybar connected and/or you can add longer bumpstops to keep from rubbing 32's. You can also trim sheet metal to make room for bigger tires. But I would only consider this solution on a Jeep that's already beat up.

If you're driving a jeep long distance, you better.

We'll have plenty of projects for you to help with.

By my way of thinking, people are focusing on the wrong thing. It's not a gun problem. It's a criminal problem. We let out violent criminals so that we can make space for non-violent drug offenders (mostly brown people, btw). We hold past convictions over people's heads for life which drives them towards criminal activity as it is harder for them to find legitimate work rather than focusing on rehabilitation and helping to integrate back into society. There has been a bi-partisan effort to de-fund public mental health care over decades which leaves the crazies out on the streets. We don't prosecute straw purchasers who get guns into the hands of people who commit violent crime. In every case of a mass shooting, lots of people knew the shooters were unstable and dangerous but no one was willing or able to do anything about it until it was too late. Those are the problems we need to be solving. But there's no profit in solving those problems so the owners of the country pay the politicians to do other things. Then they have both sides talk up guns to get us all fired up and arguing with each other so we don't pay attention to what's really going on in the world.

Definitely. I can foresee a number of wrench-a-thons in the future. I haven't really even started on my project yet. But it's getting a V8 swap and tons and will be running on 40's. But it's still a stock 4cyl right now. And I'm always down to lend a hand with anyone else's projects as well.

While these trends may not hold up, it's important to understand that the election as a whole is probably going to be heavily influenced by factors outside of this topic. And because of those other factors, this topic could be heavily affected. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-enthusiasm-exclusive/exclusive-ahead-of-2020-election-a-blue-wave-is-rising-in-the-cities-polling-analysis-shows-idUSKBN20D1EG Of course, this trend can change. The Democrats are really good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. They do it all the time. But if they build up a head of steam things may change drastically in November. As always, the most important thing you can do is to vote. Your individual vote may not mean much but the whole of the election is changed by people choosing to vote or not, especially when the contest is close. So go out and find the people you want to represent for you and turn in your ballot.

The inspection went pretty well. Nothing really huge but I'm going to follow up with an engineer looking at a few things in the foundation to get final write off. We were looking at the garage and the guy across the alley opened up his garage about halfway. I didn't get to talk to him but he had a garage full of truck, maybe Jeep parts in progress. I think he and I will get along just fine.

Clapton's rendition is good. I like Stevie Ray Vaughan's version as well.
-
I listen to that sometimes. I just caught the end of that last night and was bummed because they were playing Clapton and I missed it. They get into a lot of the music that isn't in the popular rotation on classic rock stations so you hear more than the 3 hit songs by that band. Sometimes that's a great thing, other times you get a good sense why only 2 or 3 songs get air play. It just depends on the band.

It was good to see everyone stay cordial and respectful in the thread. Politics in threads always has a potential to go sideways fast. Kudos to everyone for taking the high road.

It was starting to drift off topic in ways that would lead to "less than cordial" discussion is my guess.

No more than 2. I still have the XJ and the Subaru to park as well.

It's a bungalow which is big enough for me. And a 2 car garage out back. I'll probably put a gate in the fence so I can store one of the project Comanches there along with a trailer. This, of course, assumes the inspection and everything goes well.

So I found a decent little house near Cherry Hills in Englewood. Put an offer in. We'll see what happens.
-
I already found a good one in Englewood. Going to try to make an offer on it tomorrow or Friday.

So the first big hurdle has cleared. I've got my pre-approval lined up so I can start focusing on buying a house. My group just got word that we may move over to the Denver Tech Center, which is 20 miles or so from where I work now (south end of Wadsworth in Littleton) Since I may get moved back, I'm focusing my search between the two. My only requirements are no HOA, a secure place to park a trailer and at least a 2 car garage. The houses aren't cheap but there are a few options in Littleton and Englewood, but also one or two in Castle Rock. The next couple of weeks will be an adventure, that's for sure.

I'm interested in buying a set for my SWB project truck in a couple of months. Whenever you think they are ready, hit me up and I'll buy a set. -
I'd say that ground is a little wet...
