Junkyard truck. Still there, pulled a few parts from it today. Schmidt’s Auto Salvage, Waunakee WI. Notes on the truck state that the motor is bad, but it is still there. 4.0 Auto 2wd.

87-92 Tail light harness connector source!
500 MJ replied to schardein's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I just pulled this connector from a 2007, 2004 CTS and 2005 SRX. These were on the cars with the 3.6L V6. Northstar V8 cars did not have them, at least not in that location on the engine. -

All steel body panels, no fiberglass on that one!

Are you looking for a tape deck one or just AM/FM?

That is a shame for sure. Any idea what started the fire?

I'm right with you guys on this. I love to spend time at a yard when I get the chance. I drive all over the southern half of Wisconsin for work and there have been many days that I take my lunch break to quickly walk through a yard that I am driving past.

Reproduction switch trim covers

I have this one. It is currently off of the truck and would be pretty easy for me to measure up. Please get me a list of the measurements you want and I'll be happy to do it for you. -
So what is the point of this thing anyway? Is it to keep stuff from splashing up onto the bottom of the engine or does it serve some aerodynamic function as well? For either function, with that many holes in it from factory I doubt it was very effective. Every Jeep I have owned and worked on seemed to have it on at some point as I have found remnants of it still attached to them all.

No dice on the Grand Caravan items. The third yard I went to today had ONE 2008 and it was well picked over already for those parts. Also, I checked for sinkrun and none of them the items he wanted were in good enough shape. Thanks Everyone!

I'm planning to visit a junkyard that I have not been to yet on Friday of this week. I called them up a few times and they never have thought that they have any MJs there. They have always said that they have lots of XJs. For this reason I've never gone there, but I'm getting the itch to walk a junkyard and Friday is my day to explore this one. If anyone needs anything specific, post it up here or private message me and I'll keep an eye out for it. Also - prices you are willing to pay for the item will help me decide whether to take it/leave it. I'm only taking hand tools I can walk with, so I'm not pulling anything I can't carry out. There is snow here and temps are in the high 30's, great conditions to walk and explore a yard. I know some guys don't get the chance because of work/life/kids to visit yards and I want to offer up any help that I can... Thanks!

I smell a CC Auction, and you bet I’ll be a bidder on that bed!

Rear Brake load proportioning valve

Do you know which rear axle you have? If you are unsure just post up a picture of it. It should either be a Dana 35 or Dana 44. -

Do you know if you have the stock rear axle still in the truck? The brackets and the connector rod should be specific to what model of rear axle you have. I think. -
So riddle me this. Here is an ECU that apparently came from a ‘90 MJ. How does it’s part number fit into the mix? I should clarify that I don’t own this ECU. I found it for sale elsewhere online...

Does anyone know of a resource/guide for what Renix ECU Numbers correlate to what years/characteristics? I know about the last 3 digits “428” ECU being the holy grail of Renix ECUs, but all of the prior ones have to have a pecking order for next in line as far as the developments and advancements in them go. Also, there has to be a way to tell the 4 cyl and 6 cyl versions apart... Thanks in Advance!

Rear Interior Panel pictures
500 MJ replied to Liketosmash's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
FWIW - Both of my trucks were base models with bench seats when I got them. The '88 had the blue carpet behind the seat with the jacking instructions sticker on the carpet, the '90 did not have the carpet and the sticker is still stuck to the back of the cab, under the gray carpet that I have now put in there. -
That is nice! The roll bar does not look factory though?

89 MJ Charlotte NC. $550

X2! That is a sweet deal! -
It is VERY ironic that I unknowingly chose the exact date that the truck was built in 1990 to post up it's vitals in the MJ registry, 30 years later. Spooky!

This was a truck that my father and I parted out in Michigan many years ago. Many parts from this one live on in both of my current MJs. All salvageable parts were kept or sold, down to the useable wire connectors from the hacked up wiring harness. PO thought he could make some better $$$ by removing copper for scrap before he sold it to us. We were not impressed... There was no saving the truck, he had also moved it around with the forks of his tractor and stabbed the windshield and ruined the cab. It was rusted pretty badly anyway. This is was a 4wd 4.0 AX-15 NP231 LWB Pioneer. I believe it was geared at 3.07. It had D35 in the rear and CAD D30 in the front. The truck had light blue paint and gray interior.
