  1. Here what you make when you catch that sucker.
  2. Looks like it to me. Unless you like acorns for breakfast.
  3. I manage a welding supply store for a living. Have been in welding supplies for over 25 years so far. So I like to build stuff for my Jeep. They don’t make much aftermarket stuff for MJ’s. So I build my own. Made front and rear bumpers, rock rails. And some other stuff. Always improving something. I Like the feeling of accomplishment when the jobs done and installed. It was just a chunk of metal. A little cutting bending and welding and it’s done.
  4. My winch plugs into the receiver front or rear. Stores in the back with a hitch lock pin.
  5. I built mine somewhat like the stock one. But with a hitch built in.
  6. before you waste much time on the horn. Make sure the actual horn works. I spent hours checking fuses and connections just to find out the actual horn was burned up. My Jeep has gone through 3 horns since I’ve had it??
  7. My grandson can’t wait for grandpa to get home from work so he can go out to the truck. He’s going to burn out another horn.
  8. I took 2 years of electronics in college many moons ago. One year of DC than 2nd year was A/C i had a good handle on the DC side of things. Resistance Voltage and current. When you added A/C components like inductance, capacitance, reactance, phase angles and all the fun A/C brings to the party that took all the fun out of it. I also took the electrical wiring classes residential, commercial and industrial. Really liked that as I have pulled a few hundred miles of wire. I should have been an electrician. Being in the welding supply world I am always being asked about how to hook stuff up. i would like to learn more in the electronics world again.
  9. spark plugs should have a heck of a lot more voltage than 12v. Usually a few thousand or more
  10. Harbor farts sells those rivets and the tool to install them with probably less than 20 for the tool and some rivets.
  11. I’m getting 72” give or take 1/2”
  12. I vote for mini van also. We have had 3 of them. They are great for hauling stuff. We have driven to camp in the sequoias gone to Yellowstone the Grand Canyon plenty of room for kids and all the crap 💩 you gotta bring with them. I used one as a work van for a few years. The wife was a Girl Scout leader and you can haul 6 girls and 2 leaders plus a lot of luggage’s. The wife’s Kia just sucks for luggage space.
  13. I have a bunch of adapters but I don’t have the Jeep one. I’ll have to check my cartridge collection also.
  14. That’s what I used on my truck. I ended up getting 3 1/2” over the wire out springs.
  15. What adapter do you need to run the scanner? I have one of those in a drawer in my toolbox. Haven’t used it for many years. Would be nice to check the health of my Comanche. Especially since it has over 340K on it.
  16. What did they bolt to? When I built mine I mounted it in 3 spots to the uniframe.
  17. My 89 has the Peugeot trans. It has 340K+ and is still going strong. I don’t beat on it but do tow a trailer with a few quads on it every once in awhile. Running 31’s with 3:73 gears.
  18. I use the gear wrench ones. Have had them for about 20 years. You can get them on sale at Sears about Black Friday time. Both standard and stubby for about $70.00 set. Use them more than anything else in the toolbox.
  19. The truck was stock. Started at about 33” to flare edge. Ended up at almost 37 3/4”.
