  1. Ladies and Gentlemen. He is now road legal and registered!!!!
  2. Need one. I think 2.5L and 4.0L should use the same one. Need one as I barely passed emissions in the XJ haha. Long story. Shoot me a PM and some pics of it if you have one.
  3. Whats crazy is one of the ceramic resistors is just broke in half like it obliterated from the voltage.
  4. Excellent question!! I actually have no idea...I can tell you what I was doing was trying to extend the ISA to do an adjustment as it was not fully extended like it should be and needless it say, the ECU clearly did not like that haha.
  5. I killed an ECU. Like murdered it. I’m impressed actually. Kinda upset cause I’m down to 2 ECUs now but impressed. i do not think this is fixable. But now I have a parts ECU to correct another one I got from svtkyle I think his name one. Thought y’all would get a kick out of this.
  6. Something I learned and saw, AMC used warn hooks which can literally be found anywhere. I remember when I went to harbor freight one day that I saw those hooks with retainers that keep the strap or rope in place. I put a set of these on my XJ, but I found them at my grandparents house interestingly enough. I’ll snap a picture later. Nevermind. See the clips now. Haha.
  7. Is lowbuckgarage mentioned in this thread?
  8. I should follow up on this thread. So I haven’t replaced my catch pan yet but since I’m an avid cranberry juice addict, I’ve been saving those bottles, pouring oil into them and taking the bottles to be dumped at oreillys. But I do like the suggestions, inputs and opinions!
  9. Pretty much. Or make your own or take old ones and try to mount them. The biggest problem with used is the studs rust out and snap off.
  10. Like the plastic end caps? No they don’t.
  11. More than likely but it all honestly sounds like normal operation to me. Course we are comparing an 86 to an 88 but there’s such minor differences compared to the two when looking at the electronics.
  12. Still sounds normal but I never really paid attention to my tach while coming to a stop. I feel I have seen what youre talking about but happen much quicker. I guess you could suspect the ISA internals are locking up from the dried up grease or the throttle cable is catching. But the ISA shouldnt be at play when coming to a stop.
  13. Yup! If you followed my ISA adjustment procedure write up in the DIY or have a TBI manual from AMC, it should operate just like that.
  14. Sounds pretty normal to me. Every morn when I leave I start my truck, jumps to about 2-2500, come down to 1500 and slowly come down to 1000 and when it goes into closed loop, you should see it idle between 850-950. 750 without AC.
  15. Triple Award Winning
  16. Too long. Sportrucks we’re only short bed. Hell those guys need to detail the interior before I even consider anything haha.
  17. If I had to guess here, white would’ve been the color for those graphics. Id be surprised if there was a color combo guide on the decals. I can imagine you could order them with what ever color AMC had and put them on. But knowing AMC, it would’ve been decals that would stand out.
  18. Sounds like a plan!
  19. Yeah I do, I mean they’re set now and they don’t bother me as much as they did, but I’ll always know I could’ve done better. I blame my eyesight every time for stuff like this. Similar to when Obi-wan says to not trust your eyes. They deceive you.
  20. Factory sealed beams coupled with running the road lamps and relay harness I have give me good light. +1 for not blinding people with horribly aimed LEDs and classic look all around.
  21. Lol! I have no idea why but I have always liked the 84-85 Wagoneer header more than the 86-90.
  22. Until you get a few together in one spot haha. 2.5L is a pretty underestimated engine. I’m the resident go to on the Renix of that engine if you have trouble.
