  1. I thought the 92 model year only had 952 of them made? Is there more?
  2. 952 92's? Wouldve taken me a solid day if I put my time and mind to it. So in the digital catalog, I could run any last 8 of a VIN. So with 92 being NL, I could just start at NL000001 and work my way up until I stumble upon no more 92 MJ's.
  3. I shouldve done this when I was still at Chrysler........
  4. Closed loop will let the engine run more efficiently and see your mileage improve. open loop is full of defaults for the engine to just run and drive vs what closed loop does.

  6. Water pump could be an issue. When was that replaced?
  7. No there is a much easier way. If you unscrew the temp sensor in the back of the head and get the engine tilted forward enough to purge the air out, it should come out via the sensor.
  8. Hmmm. I would do this. Try to burp the rest if any of the air out and then maybe we can see if the temp sensor is going bad.
  9. Silly question but the cooling system has been bled right?
  10. I would highly advise against putting your number in a public forum. I will message you via a private message.
  11. Ok that should be easy. I think I can put most of the parts together to give you almost a full kit. Im lacking the vacuum reservoirs that special to cruise control set ups. There is a work around for this problem. I do have the instructions still. Wow. Bicentennial Eagle! Nice. I earned my Eagle back in '13. Let me gather the parts I have that will get you started with getting set up. You will have to get the brake switch possibly, the turn signal/cruise stalk and the speedo cables both upper and lower are available. They show to only fit a 90XJ but they will work on 87-90 MJ and XJ.
  12. You rang? Haha. Without sounding like a total robot, how can I help?
  13. I am not sure actually. I know that cone fits a lot of the older clutch assemblies from the AMC era, I am not aware of there being one for the AX15. Now I suppose there probably is a similar thing on the slave and it could be over extending to where you get some disengagement but not enough.
  14. Lol!! I was pretty careful not to disturb too much of the grease.
  15. Haha. Nothing exciting. Just 40 year old grease, taking the upper column housing out and fishing the old switch out and fishing the new one in. Now the interesting part is that the key cylinder is known as a type 1. Which is retained by a button you push in and then pull it out. The later ones, not sure when the change happened, is held in by a special bolt.
  16. Good info on the sentry and that actually makes sense to me.
  17. You could do that. Just needs to withstand the pressure from the clutch pressure plate.
  18. Bada-bing! No problem at all. Hopefully that cone doesn’t cost an unnecessary arm and a leg like they seem to do.
  19. This broke on my MJ and cause my clutch to barely work and have a stiff pedal like your problem.
  20. Do you have the plastic cone on the end of the slave rod? That will stop your travel and make a stiff pedal as you basically reach the maximum extension of the slave cylinder
  21. I know the 84-85 has that header except the Jeep nameplate is smaller and offset to the drivers side and has a 21 slot grill. 86-90 used the spider eyes as we all call it and 91-92 briarwood uses the regular header panel which might be the thinking.
  22. So this set up is a different animal. I installed this on my 88. There is no spring. The clutch pressure plate will naturally push the clutch bearing and fork back. That spring you put on is for the later 91-when ever Chrysler stops putting manuals in. Now when you say it’s stuck, does it not move at all in either direction or does it just hit a spot on travel and go ding?
  23. I have so much beef with this XJ now....Who hurt this XJ to put that front header on.
  24. This one baffles me. youd have to drive the truck around with no carpet or a hole in that spot with a trap door to keep the heat and road noise out. Plus taking out the seats and interior when it only takes 15 min to lower a crossmember haha. Should be an easy patch though. Dont forget to grab your neighbors broken washer or dryer for cheap floor panels.
