Neat! I came up with how we all could play Cards Against Humanity on here but I got lazy and never followed through. But I will definitely have to come up with good meme. -
If its plastic, not really. I suppose you could remove the old stud and glue or JB weld another one in its place. Or some members have metal handles(Chrome but paintable) that the stud normally doesn't break but is threaded into the handle so if it breaks it can be replaced. I know I broke my drivers side handle studs. Just ended up replacing the handle until I got my metal handles.

You can apply ground and power to it and the gauge will go one way or the other. I believe it should have three prongs or screws that mount it. One would have to be ground and power. I think the cluster circuit sheet should have what each screw is labeled. If it’s busted then you have a parts cluster.

Pulled from what must’ve been a pristine MJ. -
You could always remove the gas gauge from the cluster and bench test it to see if it has any movement to it. I found that my big gas gauge when I still had that had one of the wires break off when I was reassembling the cluster and the gauge dropped to empty until I fixed it with a drop of solder.

Grease and brake fluid?
eaglescout526 replied to eaglescout526's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Youre probably right. I dug deeper into the FMS past the I.S.'s and found the newer (Nabco) master cyls and they show that a rebuild kit comes with some sort of lube for the ball of the piston. I will probably try the ceramic grease and rebuild one of the two or use the grease on my current one to prevent pressure loss and leakage. That's my main issue is pressure loss if the pedal is let up completely. So my next question is what grease is brown or dries up and turns brown? -

I need to find this one and do the same thing. Wonder if that can be blown up to a bigger size. -
NTK is OEM. I found that out when I ordered a NOS one from a dealer.

So I went to AMC salvage today and got a few things. Of the few things was two clutch masters. One a Nabco(OEM) and the other is three circles to form a triangle. Anyways upon inspection of the Nabco one I found dried up brown grease on the plunger side closest to the cylinder. My question is, is there a chemical property between the two where the grease acts as a gasket? Pic for what I'm talking about: What is your thoughts about the idea? And I haven't seen anything in the FSM on this when rebuilding these.

Will do!

Holy crap that's a genius idea!! Thanks for the new project!

I have a bent tailgate too and looked into repairing mine old one but came across a verdict of just replacing it. But if you have the know how and time(I'm sure we all have time now) to separate everything and straighten it all out you could.

Yeah, GM weatherpaks can be had cheap already premade and ready to splice into your existing harness. I have mine spliced in using spade connectors.

I keep mentioning this place but don't have any pics. here's a few good ones. I didn't get pics of the front but the front has tubs and ZJ's.

Lol smokers group.

I do have a drivers side bucket latch if that’s what you need. If the PO can’t find them I can send you the drivers latch while a passenger side is hunted down.

Quick questions, to add an aux fan, OE style
eaglescout526 replied to MLT Lulu's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have a 2.5L so I suspect you have a 4.0L. I am not sure of how that engines AC harness operates but it could or it could not work in conjunction with the E-fan. I know a temp sensor goes into the radiator on the Renix years, on the H.O. it is in the T-stat housing. I just know that that four prong plug is for the AC wiring harness for the clutch and relay. -

That is the AC plug. I just added AC to my truck and that's the capped off end for AC. It actually is plug and play. As far as the fan relay I am not sure where that is. Be sure to update your sig with the stats of your MJ.
