  1. Interesting even for an HO 4.0. Now a days every thing has a tach.
  2. Early Rain or shine?
  3. Won’t you gentlemen have a Pepsi? Pepsi Spys like us or Austin Powers
  4. Spielberg Johnny Dangerously or the Sopranos
  5. Yes. I’m excited for this project more than the T-bird. But given how the slave cylinder on little red failed this morn has kinda driven me to get that T-bird going.
  6. If every thing goes according to plan he will be here in AZ in May. Long term is to have it as a 4 wheel drive wagon and able to drive others around. Plan is to restore him inside and leave the patina of the original paint and convert to Renix TBI.
  7. Standard location well for the 86-89ish they were on the opposite side to the engine name plate where the Jeep nameplate went. On chunk it’s where the Jeep nameplate is for 86-96 above the license plate. Trust me, I’m anxious and excited as I have lost of other goodies to install.
  8. Well I only say such because a lot of 90’s cars that I have seen have tachs for the auto and nothing for a manual. My moms 96 civic is like this, no tach and it’s a stick. My girlfriend had a 01 civic and it was an auto with a tach. I’ve always understood it as manuals didn’t need a tach as you would know when to shift. To me it’s just cool to have a tach with a manual.
  9. Well I could be wrong but it seems odd to me for an auto trans to not have a full tach cluster. Usually autos are associated with having a tach unless special ordered but you could have a 3/4 with an auto.
  10. Take my lunch Chris Farley or John Candy?
  11. Ooooo I get to pick this thing. Valve cover was replaced. No longer bearing the AMC logo cover. Air cleaner lid gets a pass. Doesn’t have a full cluster even though it’s an auto is weird to me. That’ll be all.
  12. You’re not the only one with issues this morn. My internal clutch slave blew before I even got out of the drive way.
  13. I was pretty proud too as hardly any of the dash lights worked and it was the first time I tore into the dash and replaced the bulbs.
  14. They really are a surprise in every box.
  15. I see I am gonna have to move Chunks Cherokee nameplate when the spare tire carrier goes on.
  16. 20k miles with 4 years of owner ship. Pretty low. Oooo, I stumbled upon a lower mileage from 5/28/2016 This was when I hadnt exactly figured out why the blinkers remained lit but I thought it was a cool pic at the time of early owner ship. She didnt start driving on the road till about February but she didnt see many miles until recently. I have more early pics too that I found.
  17. 86 was when the V-belts stopped. Its just a little uncommon to see an 86 2.5L with the V-belt.
  18. Lol thats what Pete always says. They practically are a rolling Lego brick. But yeah its easy to do.
  19. I had to go out and look lol. 234K miles.
  20. All cake. The harmonic balancer will need to be swapped, alt upgrade can be had and a 4.0L with the serp fan/water pumper pulley and the power steering bracket can be mounted on the 2.5L set up.
  21. Havent done much lately. Just getting some NOS parts and what not. The only thing I have done lately is fiddle with the power lock wiring. At the time I didnt have any good connectors and used some crap spade connectors to kinda bring it together and get it to operate. Well I had enough of the terrible response and resistance from the drivers side switch so I replaced those pesky spade connectors with some OEM delphi connectors and all is much better. Still laggy on the drivers side lock actuator but I can feel it has a resistance when unlocking and locking manually. Now to get through the holidays and get the T-bird going.
  22. ITS A V-BELT?! Dang I know the struggle. Serpentine could always be an upgrade in the future.
