Welp, I yanked the gas tank out today and took it home. It has some small holes on the top after cleaning and the sending unit looks like a relic with rust. I think gas sat in the tank for 20+ years as it smells bad and kinda like paint remover. Ill clean out the tank later but it might be worth my while to buy a new tank and sending unit.

Most the internal slaves are crap out of the box. I miss the first one I had. Best internal slave, never had to pump the clutch, never had a leak or bleed it when I needed to. It just worked.

Torque converter and a flywheel? Torque converters are for auto trans and are a big hulking metal doughnut full of jelly(ATF). Auto trans use whats known as flexplates and manual trans have a flywheel with the clutch and pressure plate. Perhaps your mistaking the pressure plate and clutch combo for a torque converter?
