The Jeep homestead
eaglescout526 replied to eaglescout526's topic in Member Projects: Other Cool Stuff
Thats exactly what I keep saying!! When I serviced the dryer I found 50 cents and I found just about 50 cents roaming the yard and probably about a dimes worth of pennies around the house. -

The battle of the washer has finally been won. I really wish I took more pics of what I was fighting but lets just say it looked like someone dumped mud in there and let it run. This is in the tub. I had to pull the agitator and found a metric ton of gunk all on the drive unit. I had to whip up some muriatic acid and water to get all the stuff to come off easily. Whats in the tub now is basically all the came off. Under the agitator was just as bad. Basically what was happening was the agitator was having a hard time spinning smoothly and freely which is a problem seeing how thats how the clothes get clean. here's under the agitator after running it through the dishwasher I wish I knew what the stuff was... Anyways I got it all lubed up and reassembled and it spun freely to my satisfaction. Let me reassemble it and give it a whirl. Nope still not spinning the agitator without the tub. So I had to take "clutch" assembly out and lube it up so that way it would stop catching the tub and actually do what it is supposed to. And here I am right now listening to it run through a self cleaning cycle to get all the gunk in the bottom of the tub gone. I also made $3 in dimes!! -

Congrats man! Always been looking forward to updates on toph! -
Welcome and the charcoal is the interior color. The paint code starts with a P and Q towards the bottom of the list

No...I have an opinion but I don't want to make a debate about it.

Decoding the engine number
eaglescout526 replied to Chukkklez's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Your engine was made in 1987 July 13th. M means all crank main bearing journals are 0.010 undersized -
Would be more cool if he found one in his own damn country.

Slowly but surely is everything coming together. Everything is almost out of my old room at my parents house. The last stuff to retrieve is the tools and MJ parts. Anyways here's some pics: Garage And the completed entertainment center.(almost) -
I feel that. I can cruise on the freeway at 70 and not worry about being rattled to death.

Shame. I’ve been seeing a resurgence with El Caminos lately oddly enough. -

I can get behind that. Such a shame that most of the cool rare Jeeps haven’t survived the test of time. -

I’ve always wanted to see an MJ in forest service green. I’ve seen XJs in that color but not an MJ. -

I mean that plate looks like a black color but hey the blue looks nice. Not sure who all hunts down a black MJ though. -

Actually 6YT ought to be your interior trim color and level. Since yours is an 87, it is still AMC so it’s gonna have an AMC color code. It’s one of the two digit codes right next to your interior code. I’m guessing it’s the P3. Would you mind cleaning up the plate a bit? -
Interior Switch &Cigarette lighter Install
eaglescout526 replied to Tonynguy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You’ll have to make your own harness that will connect to the headlamp harness plug for the fog lamps and you’ll be able to retain the clean factory look without cutting and drilling holes. The cargo lamp should be presided and the wire is tucked up behind the drivers side B-pillar. So you can just leave that alone. The clock and lighter harness should be behind the dash bezel which you’ll have to remove. Can someone find me that Hornbr0d post on the home brew fog lamp harness please. -
Interior Switch &Cigarette lighter Install
eaglescout526 replied to Tonynguy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Dang. Your missing either the delete plates or someone took the clock and lighter for parts. Anyways all the wiring is there. On an MJ the rocker switch wiring from left to right is: fog lamps, cargo lamp and then trans switch. Also a dremmel or heat will remove the switch panel delete from the dash bezel. -
Just a little. I’m still handicapped by not having access to CC at work.
