Currently working on getting matching colors for 84-85 XJ's. Apparently the tans don't match the Almond interior color of Chunk, so I am on the hunt.

With your lights not working lol. They more or less go in one way. Because they aren’t like incandescent bulbs they only have a one way negative and positive connection.

The current theory I have floating around from a couple others is that dealers who sold Jeeps probably stuck those on other Jeeps rather than just the SJ they are required for.

Neat. Is the building still there or is the dealer actually still in operation? If they are maybe you can see if they have any memorabilia.

What caught my eye when I found it was the AMC part number on it. I’m gonna see if we can have it reproduced.

No there’s actual metal ones that just cover the window for the older doors. I’ll get a part number for ya in the morn.

You can get them aftermarket still, but only for the XJ.

I am not sure what you are referring to? I thought about it but I want to do what my parents did to their door and use one of those folding closet doors. The upper hinge has really long screws threaded into it and the bottom hinge has the short ones. I suppose I could get away with screwing longer ones in the bottom and see if I can find some golf tees to jam into the stripped wood holes to get the door back on.

Oh it closed fine but the top screw holes were basically stripped so they were able to slide in and out but then the bottom screws came off and for what ever reason, they are 1/4" long screws.

Girlfriend got to enjoy installing some parts into Chunk. Granted they were easy install but are where they should be. I actually forgot I had the rears for Chunk. Now to remove interior plastics and paint them.
