Lol all is good, just a comedic nit picker.

Is it bad that I can see you're missing the upper trim piece? Haha looks nice and glad to see you made the move safely.

2.5 liter Serpentine Belt size

Does yours have AC or not? I can get you a part number to cross reference. -
I have an entire short bed assembly. With powder coated bracket.
-
I think it’s vacuum controlled so I wonder if a vac tester can prove that it works. I also have a speedo needle if you need one for the cluster.
-
Holy fricken crap!

Any XJ from 84-96 will work, you’ll just need to get the Renix era thermistor and push it through the core if you find an HO box. I can walk ya through it.

Sweet!!! I think @carolinajeepman was/is looking for the alt bracket for his set up.

'91 Ignition Cylinder
eaglescout526 replied to acfortier's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Lock smiths can recode and I learned from one of my coworkers that he does code and recoding of key cylinders on the side. Problem is is that the techs these days don’t get taught everything they should know so something like recoding a cylinder has gone the wayside like tuning a carburetor or simple diagnostics. -
Wellllll list on them is $66 but I usually get CC members only a deal for parts. I’ll shoot you a PM and explain so I don’t get a bunch of folks bombarding my inbox.
-
You won’t believe this. But Chrysler made these caps until 2005. I can still order them actually but they are a pretty penny.
-
Yup! Was taking another look at all was still good on that MJ.
-
Such a shame. It still had some good parts.

Wheel Hub Assembly part #s
eaglescout526 replied to acfortier's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Both of those numbers are correct. I can also still get them from Chrysler....Kinda for the original number. -
Don't be an idiot like me...
eaglescout526 replied to Jlindsey86's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Nothin more dumb than entering the MJ world and tossing MJ specific stuff not knowing you can’t get them easily. So all is good there. I think there might be some as NOS out there. Not sure. -
Just the mounting brackets for both the alt and the compressor along with the hardware attached. I mean I already have AC but I like having the parts ready and on hand for those in need.
-
Hahahaha I’m glad you did. Shame it doesn’t have AC but the other two are just as important. Would you mind leaving that pipe that’s in the valve cover already with it? Seems to be something folks are missing. But sounds like a plan. Shoot me a PM and we can work out the finer details.
-
I definitely need that valve cover. Unless someone else needs it more than me to hoard them. I’ll take the whole TBI too.

89 Pioneer 4x4 Long, Newark, OH - $10,900
eaglescout526 replied to NHMJXJ's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Yeah that AC set up scares me a little. Sure 2.5Ls were a bit lawless with how the AC system could be added and theres not much documented info out there on the kits you could get but jeez that set up just gets me. -
86 2.5L Cooling System
eaglescout526 replied to eaglescout526's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I’m leaning towards the radiator at this point. I still had air in the main return hose which isn’t till surprising me at the moment so I know what I need to do when refilling the system. -
You’ll never be able to find them. Only way is to find them used. A member on here is making them but he’s a one man show with very slow production times.
-
Maybe a very late replacement model used by AM General until they made the new body style we all know and see every day?

Installing new mirrors
eaglescout526 replied to Yoopermanche20's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
here's what I have learned with the aftermarket scene of mirrors. First: don't. Second: they fit mediocrely, honestly I wish they were better but they arent. I had one that would not stay tight and all because they arenth threaded so they have to be threaded and once theyre threaded and you get them tightened, they love to strip. So honestly if you guys can, get an OEM mirror just because of this. Now granted these will get you out of a pickle if you can't make a run to a junkyard to get one but otherwise theyre crap.
