  1. 55175355AD. Discontinued. None around.
  2. Grounds too! Check and clean all grounds. Chances are the original owner probably didn’t do a damn thing to them.
  3. Yeah I second the manifold bolts too speaking from a recent experience.
  4. I realized, I still have the connectors for when 88mjsally was gonna pass the torch for making trailer harnesses onto me, I could make harnesses that would be plug n play for both if anyone would be interested in such.
  5. Yeah it is unique to the 403 T/A air cleaner assembly. I had already derusted it and figured that I’ve already got a pile going to be coated, I’d just throw it in and see what it comes out to be.
  6. Ouch. That looks like a I need a socket to weather pack adaptor. Or a special harness needs to be made for that.
  7. Just the air cleaner for now and it’s old lid. I’ll post more when I get them back to the car.
  8. Physically backing out the screw on the ISA is the only adjustment. You can either get a aftermarket tach and put it in the pins of the diagnostic plugs or get a full cluster orrrrr an REM from nickintimes. Those three will give you RPM. Idle for AC 2.5Ls with AC on should be 1k and off should be 900. No AC should be 750 unless you have the harness that bumps up the idle to 1k like you have AC.
  9. Nova star huh? Well now we have a name and make of this contraption aside from the MJ motor home haha.
  10. Got back all the powder coated parts. I’ve never been more impressed with how they came out. The air cleaner is by far my favorite one to come out. Looks brand new!
  11. Has the ISA been adjusted properly though? Fully extended ISA unplugged should be about 3500 rpm + or - 200.
  12. The shifter doesnt look like a stock XJ/MJ shifter handle, couldve been one of those they got the trans/tcase with no shifter handle and stuck a TJ one in place. Then again, looking at my XJ, I swapped it and it looks different than my MJ with no issues.
  13. Ok so the t-case is a down grade, hopefully the PO was smart and used the old style external slave set up and not the internal. But I 100% think you have the correct set up and probably just need a new mount. mustve been a cheap "come and get this thing before I scrap it" deal to swap in a NP207. Anywho it looks like you have an 86 trans and t-case.
  14. I’m betting the transmission mount is done. Wouldn’t hurt to replace it if the PO really did swap it to 4wd.
  15. Wait. Do you have an 86 MJ? Cause the 207 was only available from 84-86. Something here tells me this may not have been swapped to 4wd. Is your VIN in the registry? And this wouldn’t have come from a CJ as they ran different trans than the AX. Course finding a 2.5L in a CJ is like finding an Eagle Kammeback.
  16. Then the OP is an AX4/5. As to where it came from is beyond me. Course we might get more info out of the New Process ID tag on the T-case.
  17. 6=1986 01=january 10161 is the serial. or like mine that was made in 88 of july. That is all I got from the rebuild book of the AX4/5. Otherwise I didnt see a part number either to help identify it. I swear there was one somewhere. If it was an AX15 the bell house would look different than the renix era bell house. I thought the 15's middle plate was thicker than the 4/5? How does the rubber mount look? Looks kinda cockeyed in one of the pics and would make me think it is off. I had this issue before when I replaced my trans mount a few years ago and had to use a ratchet strap to bring the crossmember back in line with the holes.
  18. What the serial/production number on the trans? I can look in my rebuild books of the trans that were available and decode it. Otherwise given how old our trucks are, there is no VIN specific when looking at our trucks in the catalog. It’ll go as far as to what engine and trans it has(manual or auto) but that’s about it. I’d need a part number from the trans itself to see where it belongs to.
  19. Well this sounds pretty normal as far as the cluster goes. Before start up the voltage will read low due to the power draw from everything coming on with the key. 14v is normal during running. As far as it taking longer, you need to address the grounds if you haven’t yet and make sure that’s not the reason why start up is taking a while.
  20. The tank if it’s still OEM has a tag on it but if it’s missing a sending unit, the filler tube inside will give you an idea on how big the tank is.

  22. There is also this list that is pinned to be mindful of too.
  23. All. The. 2.5L. Parts. Well mostly the Renix era.
  24. Have you cleaned your grounds? Big thing here for diagnosing electrical issues.
  25. Powder coating through and through. Don’t cheap out on refinishing something just to have it fail or rust.
