My brother has these in his 91 xj but the previous owner trashed them, he did his best to reshape the padding and got nice aftermarket covers.. sad. They are great seats and i wish that guy woulda took better care.. the xj itself was in great shape Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

100% agree! Some of the MJs in this thread have been my inspiration for my lifelong want of a manche and finally got one.. it's a work in progress but still going after it! Work travel has slowed my project down but over the next two months I'm gettin after it! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk -
Really cool truck! Congratulations and great job on the build! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Morning! I got it from an older gentleman that lived near Martinsville, VA via craigslist then set up a transport & had it shipped to TX. I must have been confused when i said West VA.. it had a Univ of WV key chain and my brain just automatically went there.. sorry about that mistake on my part Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

It's been a little while since i posted and just got the thread updated with my two previous posts a few minutes ago.. We're making progress on multiple projects and rebuilding the transfer case just got checked off. Installed a teraflex slip yoke eliminator kit and cleaned everything up. Found we had needle bearings and had to get those pushed out for the new shaft to work. That set us back about 3 hours.. the 2hour project turned into 5 but well worth it since in the background my dad was smoking pork ribs for dinner when we were done! Last weekend, i continued grinding through the spot welds until my brother arrived. Then we took out the transfer case. Hoping to get a slip yoke eliminator kit installed Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

We knew getting into the floorboards was gonna stink. Started with a little 101+coke and off we went. Drilling and prying drilling and prying over and over. With rust the spot welds are very sneaky and sometimes hard to find. I had to go inspector holmes on the last one, you can see it hanging on with the blue arrow. I broke out the telescopic dental type mirror so i could see under the lip. For cutting the welds the blair spot weld cutter was so good. I highly recommend! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Earlier we removed the bench seat, took out interior panels, the 4wd shifter bezel and the vinyl mat. We've been dreading that there would be really bad rust underneath. It wasn't as bad as we thought. Just 3 rust holes that will need some attention. Repairing floorpans is a tough job but we'll work on it till its done! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Thanks Pete! You're exactly right, we ended up getting it popped out and found the 2nd hidden screw Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Do any of you fellas know how to safely remove the 4wd mini console?.. were ready to pull up the mat and check out the floorpans. Definitely don't want to crack it Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Finally got back on the H.O. project.. we mocked up the Ford 8.8 axle under the Comanche, snugged down the ubolts and took a few measurements for the new driveshaft.. we also tried on the new tires! Much more to do but really cool to see some progress! Barnes 4wd Spring over axle Ford 8.8 kit Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I might be interested in the TCase skid if the OP isn't.. if i have an aftermarket crossmember? Ive never seen how the skids connect and cover Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Looks like a great mj and your lift and tires look good! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Sweet! To connect them, do the originals pop off and the 97+ simply pop back in the same way or does a mod have to be done? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
