  1. Finally got finished fixing the patch and put down a few coats of POR15 in the Comanche. It takes a lot of prep work but applies awesome once it's said and done. Starting to look nicer!
  2. While checking out the passenger side and looking closely, I found thin rusty metal surrounding the drain hole, fabricated a patch peice of metal, cut out all the bad biz and welded it up! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  3. Ha! Yeah man i know. It is sitting off the ground atleast. I promise, i'm putting it back on as soon as possible Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  4. Someone might have accidentally mangled a few wires when they were using the grinder too close [emoji2321]... Soldered back together and all fixed up now! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  5. That's exactly right.. one of my steps coming up is to remove all the crappy applied rubber underbody coatings so i can fix any more rust issues.. i'll prep and paint or maybe POR15 but i'm not going back with rubberized or bedliner under the truck. I will rubberize the wheel wells though. I'm going to use a fluid film or similar to protect underneath Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  6. That is sweet! Nice work Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  7. On the jeep comanche floorpans, added POR15 to all the weld seams inside and underneath. I really like how POR15 spreads out and dries hard. Its a ton of prep work to apply but it really does finish better than regular paint and primer. It better last a long time! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  8. Now the center channel is in.. the side brace had to be reshaped since the floorpan changed. Cut out a v-notch and rewelded the brace and got it all primed up Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  9. In the cab of the comanche again working on reinstalling the center channel. Got it test fit and hammer formed to the new floorpan shape, added rusty metal primer underneath. If all goes well.. we will never see the underside again! Got it all spot welded back in! Lots of welding! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  10. Heck yeah SCGuy! I've been really impressed since going with the m12 line. I was about to pull the trigger on makita but my brother and some of our hunting buddies all said the m12 is just so good. I love that Rover light. It works awesome in the cab of the MJ. Just stick it anywhere and it lights up your project area all evening!
  11. Working on the comanche! Had to weld a patch in the back of the cab that was rusty thin metal. Got the center channel brace cleaned up and put a couple coats of primer. Cleaned up the floor where the channel lays and it's ready for protective paint & weld back in! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  12. Got it all welded in.. good thing is your feet won't fall through anymore. However, I won't be getting certified as a master welder on this particular floor project. It was challenging and fun though, I learned a lot. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  13. Getting the new floorpans ready to go in. It took a lot of physical convincing the metal to shape up right! Got it pretty close and used self tappers to hold it. Got the edges trimmed up with a metal blade jig saw. Once the edges were right i got weld clamps and had it all ready to weld up! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  14. The HO project continues! Not near as bad as some ive seen but still work to do. Floor board time.. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  15. Congratulations! Super cool truck! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  16. My brother has these in his 91 xj but the previous owner trashed them, he did his best to reshape the padding and got nice aftermarket covers.. sad. They are great seats and i wish that guy woulda took better care.. the xj itself was in great shape Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  25. 100% agree! Some of the MJs in this thread have been my inspiration for my lifelong want of a manche and finally got one.. it's a work in progress but still going after it! Work travel has slowed my project down but over the next two months I'm gettin after it! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
