Bosch 69302 - Electric Fuel Pump
youngfred replied to youngfred's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
... I started out with - No Start and no Fuel Rail Pressure. Never kept more that a couple of gallons in the tank because of our 'modern gas'. Thought maybe the fuel pump overheated and failed. No leaks on the Fuel Pressure Regulator but with no Fuel Rail Pressure, I suspected Fuel Pump/Fuel Pressure Regulator. Started with the Fuel Pump. As I removed the FP the bottom Rubber Support (Red Arrow)came out in pieces(modern fuel) ??? The Sock was still on the pump. The upper (slotted one in the photo) looks okay but maybe fuel did not get up to that level - maybe??? I put power to the pump on the bench and it quietly purred but I have not tested it, for pressure. I am also going to change out the FPR. ~ Came across a Bosch pump, in Canada. Will try tomorrow. youngfred -
... Dangme. I keep getting the same results, as I call around. "Bosch says - 69302 - has/is - Discontinued ???" Any help here would be appreciated. youngfred

Anyone have tips on oil pan gasket removal?
youngfred replied to fiatslug87's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
... I've had good luck with the Permatex Gasket Remover. Apply, let it sit, then scrape. The gasket kinda comes off in layers, so you might have to apply until it is all off. I have not tried the 3M wheels bit they might me helpful along with the scraping. youngfred -

... Yea-working out this Battery Screwdriver from Milwaukee. Light, but Heavy-Duty(and the price-too). Another battery format but these work all day-hold their charge. Had to make room for another charger. *this one came with only the short bit, shown on the box. Overall, a good go-to. youngfred
