    Tire sizes?

Hey guys. Been looking at tires recently. I wanted to get a set of 33x12.5x17 or 305/70r17. I know according to manufactures they should be close to there actual specs at max psi but we all know they mostly run a tad smaller. My question is if I am looking for a set of 33-34" tires that are as close to that measurement, should I run a bigger size (for example a 35x12.5x17 bfg km2 because it'll actually be a 33) or should I just stick with the sidewall number (33x12, 285/70, 305/70 etc.)?
  5. 6. Sorry I haven't updated here much, I am just in the process of gathering parts haven't really done much to Wendy as of late. I'll bring you guys up to speed. I still haven't installed the new trackbar because I have to drop the front suspension out to the upper and lower control arms. I am going from fixed to adjustable, and I was reading the chart @HOrnbrod posted about control arm length for a 4" lift it states to set the lowers to 16.5" would there be any effect I running them longer such as 18"s? Like running the uca's and lca's about 1.5" longer than the chart states? Also tore apart my gauge cluster to prep for something coming in the mail I also picked the bell housing and np231 for the ax15, I started piecing it together, now to just order the trans mount, clutch pressure plate, clutch fork etc. to get it swapped in In the mail yesterday I got my extended brake line which I will be installing as I do the control arms And Lastly I've been marking up the front and rear fenders where they will be getting chopped soon As I said before not much has really happened. Mostly gathering parts and not really doing much actual work. Its slowly coming together and I can't wait to see it done.
  7. Hey guys, just wondering if there is going to be some kind meet up of other CC members for Jeep Beach 2018? I am running againt the clock to finish Wendy and get her driveable to make the trip from Miami to Daytona. Only about 146 days left but who is counting haha
  8. As being one of the newest members here (as i have only been here for a few months compared to some at over a decade), I like the way the forums is set up and its relatively easy to find the information you need especially if you search or post a queston in the right area. Everything now is being modernized and it can be hard to keep up. But sometimes there's no need to. I love the friendship found here and the great people part of the forum. Hopefully its around long enough that I can become an old crony member Keep up the great work

    Longarms??

Hey looking for anyone that has a used set of longarms w/ crossmember or a 3 link setup? This is alittle bit of a stretch but trying to see whats put there
  10. Oh haha i want to say its the tie rod end with the jam nut
  11. How is the jeepspeed 4 link kit from rusty's? Does it work well with your lift? I know you are building a prerunner but how is the flex?
  12. Yeah I have the adjustable trackbar. No drop brackets for the control arms. I don't know if I will get the drop brackets. It was nice meeting you too
  13. Small little exciting update. I got the lift in from rusty's. This is just one step closer to getting the jeep done haha, at this point I just feel like I am collecting parts and not really installing anything yet. Soon enough.... Just have to get adjustable UCA's and the tie rod conversion to finalize the lift kit (they weren't options for the lift kit)
  14. Also those hood latches were a good idea, I may have to order me a set
  15. you are off to a great start, I like what you have done so far
  16. I like the flatbed look, so reason the mj's look great with the beds and with out the beds. Also that harbor freight welder worth it for some simple projects like leaf spring perches?

  18. I used to have a 1/10 scale bronco. This was back in 2012 when I was 14 and before I got into real cars, I kinda miss the little rc scale crawler, It sure was lots of fun. I want another one but I have a jeep to finish first
  19. Ahh thanks for the info Pete, I guess I will run the stock upper mounts for now. If I feel the are limiting performance in the future I may change them up
  20. Soo for a truck that sees about 75-80% road use and 25-20% offroad, like a weekend warrior how should the shocks be mounted / \ angled towards each other or just use the stock ones and not worry about it. Sorry for raising the dead but I don't really like starting new threads if there is one, gotta love that search feature
  21. Good work bud. I Know I have sent in pics of my beater at the moment I want to finish my truck and take some better pics. If you ever need help I am more then happy to get involved with the forum and want to help out.
  22. Hey bud could you post a side shot of the mj? I want to see how the coils and tire setup look. Thinking of doing something similar
  23. @DirtyComanche I am probably going to get adjustable uppers. The short arms should be fine to get me through college. The original plan was to do a full Ultimate Adventure Build. The goal is do build a capable expedition/overland rig. But right now being in college I have to take baby steps. DREAM BIG BUT START SMALL over the course of the next few years it'll be getting done. When is the build ever finished am I right?
